hi everyone .
i´ve got some question refering to the coaching yesterday. pleno sugessted yesterday when u are co and u have agressive players in the blinds u should tighten up ur openrange and increasing ur opensize to 3bb.
1.)what about when u are BTN? u also want to increase ur raise size to 3x?

2.) which range u would defend if u open from the co the btn calls and one aggressive player squeezes from the blinds. (for simlyfying lets assume the btn is a weaker regular)

3.)if u are mp and ep raises. would u consider calling the same range then from the CO vs EP. the tight EP range should protect us a bit from light squeezes and all the s hands also play good in multiway pots . or would u call less. ? just a bit significantly?

4.) and pleno said when looking at an expected range from the small blind that´s "we suggest" such a range. what does he mean by we? ps? because ive also read some posts from him where he suggested players to stick to a 3b or fold strategy in the sb + if im not wrong he also mentioned that he himself is using basically such a strategy? which strategy do u use?

hey pleno1!

I hope I remember well: you said we want to 3B AJs vs UTG because of frequency but it is good enough to call. Then why don't we use 1/4 AJo for that and call with AJs? We can choose the suits for that same freq.

Our 3bet range CO vs UTG is 2.11% with your guide. Isn´t it too tight? I mean utg has profitablle setmining spot and easy open/fold with all non paired hands mby except AK. Or am I wrong?

How does our strategy change when we have stations behind us that doesn't fold at all postflop ? Do we tighten our range and increase our sizing? Does it matter if we are IP or OOP ?

And should we keep our sizing to 2.5x after all if there are aggressive players behind yet still tighten up our range? (in order to call more 3bets)

trying it out, reduced my Co+BTN sizing and opened up my Co and BTN range a bit

this changed my overall stats from 25/21 to 30/25 (should probably gear it back a bit to get used to it first and not do it all (sizing+ranges) at one time)

so far it feels super uncomfortable, my redline has gone to shit and I am loosing money but small sample and I am not used to it yet

hope this gets better :)

Analyzed the CO vs BU range a bit.

We are defending 30.7% of our opening range which would be optimal if we would only 4bet. Our opponent is going to have a profit by freerolling flops vs our flatting range. So in theory we should increase our flatting range by some multiplier in order to prevent him from doing so. Is this something against which we can't do much except for tightening our preflop raise or should we widen our calling range OOP ?

We are 4bet/folding 57% Is this an exploitation of villains unbalanced 3betting range vs us ?

Also mr Patrick are the suggested ranges like this one for BU playing vs CO open good enought to take into consideration for our game ?

yeah i was also wondering about this. especially the btn range i dont understand why btn should 3b/broke AQ. in all other spots discussed it was like to broke lighter when we are oop and call a bit more when we are ip. also the value 3b to bluff 3b ratio is 4,1:4,8,. couldn´t there be more bluffs? ( in the gap the mind series the suggest to use about value combos x 2,4 bluff combos which makes it still unexploitable by villain by bluff 4 betting more) what do u think about this?

GTO ratio is like this:

so 3:2 bluff to value ratio. Don't know how your ratio could be right.

Size should depend on strength of your range. If you are opening 50%+ still (which you should definitely continue doing so vs any blinds except complete maniacs) then you should use a min-raise

Depends on squeeze size, assuming a normal 12bb squeeze, I think you can call 77-99, maybe TT if you are not 4betting it, AJs,KQs,QJs,JTs,KJs,ATs

Definitely calling less often. More players left to act behind us = not good for us

We = him, but many of us use a similar strategy. Or at least, our calling range would be significantly tighter in SB as compared to in BB

Guys, i would really like to get some responses here. I really don't understand why are we starting with a default range that is folding too much vs 3bets. It doesn't seem right to me. Please help me improve my understanding of this
