What kind of limits are you playing? Than I can help you better, but in the end you need to have reads on your villain as well to have edge to win HU and especially on the micro limit's bluffing is tough to do.

Wrong and wrong again SDK ...

The most important skill is to have a solid default game. Learn how two play readless. Often you are even not 100% readless because of population tendencies.

Bluffing on micro stakes is also easier as on midstakes+ vs. strong opponents. Micro player in general have a bad range thinking so they bluff catch often in the wrong spots with wrong combos and most of them overfold in general against aggression.

If readless: Try to play a optimal strategy and then deviate from it if you have picked up some reads.

A good readless game is very important especially in Heads Up Hyper Sngs where you start only with 25bb. So you dont have much time for picking up reads.

With exploits you basically just increase your EV but its not the foundation to beat opponents.

Just play correct frequencys etc. and you can basically beat any opponent unless your opponent plays also optimal. In this case the best result would be to play breakeven.

you need to know how to formulate good headsup preflop ranges. this is a solid cash game strategy

SB:
You can open 3BB 80%
open 2.5BB 85-90%
open 2BB 90-100%

4bet Ranges: Vs more aggro guys, you can definitely consider playing TT, 99, AQ as value 4bets for 100BB. Balance with bluffs in a 1:1 ratio

BB:
vs 3BB 80%, you want to be defending around 65%, with a 20% 3bet
vs 2.5BB 85-90%, you want to be defending 75% with a 22% 3bet
vs 2BB 90-100% you want to be defending 85% with a 25% 3bet

BB 3bet ranges:
you want to be using a 60% value 40% bluff ratio. Try to be more polarized, for the bluffs you can pick like 76s-72s, 65s-62s, ... 32s

Once you know how to play headsup Preflop, and you understand postflop concepts like Minimum Defense Frequency, the rest is not that much harder to be honest.

Example 1:
UTG raises 3BB, BTN calls
Board is A22.
How should UTG play his different AX?
He probably has AK (Top Pair Good Kicker)
AQ (Top Pair Mid Kicker)
AJ, A2s-ATs (Top Pair Weak Kicker)

Example 2:
SB raises 3BB, BB calls
Board is A22.
Now Top Pair Good Kicker is AK-AJ
Top Pair Mid Kicker is AT-A8
Top Pair Weak Kicker is A3-A6

The general ideas are the same.
