Loading "My Hands" very slow

Hi,

first, I wanted to ask this in the official PT4 forum, but I can't register because the confirmation code image doesn't load.
That's why I am posting my issue here.

When I play I like to immediately mark hands that I want to review later. I do this via the Play Poker -> View Today's Hands -> My Hands -> $ tab.

Since a couple of days the hands are loading so slowly that this is not possible anymore. It takes several minutes until the first hands appear.
When stopped playing, and I change show Most Recent 100 Hands to Most Recent 10 Hands it also takes very long ~30 secs.

My OS is macOS. I have already run "Rebuild Cache", "Vacuum Analyse", "Vacuum Full", and "Reindex". Which didn't help. My DB is 35 GB large.

This is really inconvenient, and I would be very glad if this could be resolved.

You might try emailing PT4 support directly.

35GB is very, very large.
I had similar problems with only 5GB, but the conclusion of the support staff was that the database may have been corrupt.
I deleted that db, and created a new one by re-importing all the hands I had in the archive newer than 2000.

Whatever the problem was, it has gone.

Note that re-importing took a very long time.

I don't have much experience with Macs, but on Windows I would check disk free space, since some database operations make use of temporary files.

All the best,
VS

Thanks for the tips.
I thought about exporting and re-importing into a new DB.
Disk space is not an issue.

You should be able to mark hands on tables without actually going to PT4 tabs.

You need to register for an account here:

https://www.pokertracker.com/user/register

This is via the 'Create Account' link at the top of our site. Registering via the bottom of a forum page will not work.

So we can see what's going on here and advise you accordingly please enable logging, reproduce this problem and then send your log file to us in a Support Ticket (you can do this with or without an account). You can access the 'Logs' folder with the log file by clicking 'File --> Open User Data Folder' in the main PokerTracker 4 window and the file we need is the text file called 'PokerTracker4' or 'PokerTracker4.log' that is in that folder.

That is good to know. I'll try that. I still would like to resolve the issue, though.

Thank you. I try to export and re-import into a new DB. If that doesn't work out or if I face problems in the future I will do what you suggested.
