Hey guys and girls,

Had a search over this site, and scoured google, about finding out how to reduce the filesize of a recorded video session with Camtasia. Generally the file comes out quite large, and will take forever to upload to a hosting site. I have most video conversion programs, but for the life of me, cannot find the optimal settings.

The file sizes generated are around the 120-150Mb, and would like to get them down to 25-30Mb if possible without too much video loss.

Would like to know best programs, codecs for trying to attain this.

Any tech heads out there, is this possible ?

Thanks.

Hi,

The size of the video is depends on the codec you're using.
While I'm personally not familiar with camtasia, I am with hypercam.
With hypercam you can choose what codec you'd like to use and with what quality so you can play around to get the best result needed. I assume this works the same way with camtasia, try looking into that.

WOW, that was quick.

Not familiar with hypercam myself, but does it allow dual audio ?

Thanks again.
