iPoker needs to offer self-exclusion for the side casino

Hmmmm... sometimes there's no safe bankroll rule. You can bet up to 1k at Mansion on the casino games, it's crazy.

Anyways, I'm at Stars right now and I've cashed out a huge amount and only left $170 for poker, $130 is at Stars. I might move some money back to Mansion for strategy points but, yeah, I'd rather not. I used the pennies I had at Mansion to play a slot and won like $11 and made 4 strategy points playing heads-up, then plopped $10 on the wheel of death! So, yeah, no safe bankroll rule there. But for strategy points I'll find a solution that doesn't put me at any risk. Betfair looks good because you can exclude yourself from individual games, which is a nice feature.

I think NEVER NEVER click on the casino button is just another lesson to learn. Remember winning in a casino worse then is losing some part of your bankrole, because there always will be a time (read: "after a big poker suckout") you will go back and lose more then you have won.

I will not click the button again (i think) because i know this. But I still have to learn to play poker instead of the money. i'm too bussy with my bankrole instead of the game. On one side i like the trill of poker winning/losing makes me feel alive. on the other side i know that it wouled be beter for my game to be emotional death.

But how can emotional death, feel good!?

Yeah I am so sad I already had a pokerstars account when I found ps.com, I got my starting capital on Mansion and dont like the site. Everybody hits sets, its amazing! So I played roulette... lol... lol...

After losing some money in the past I made a little system that was working ok, you pick red o black and bet $1, if you win you change color and bet $1 if you lose you bet $2, lose again $4, $8, $16, $32, $64, $128, etc...

So you win $1 everytime, I played 3 sessions:

1. $35+
2. $15+
3. Had $180 BR but black came 11 times in a row.......... $50 left....

I also had a huge down on partypoker...

hope you guys can stay off the wheel of pain, i know a lot of ppl who have lost everything on it, its the gambling equivilent of crack. i have never played it online. played it once at the casino and i see nothing in it, there is no skill and the house always wins, you never see a pro roulette player lol. so why play your guts out at the tables to win ur money then give it to them in the casino. i used to play lots of live blackjack, until they brought in the shuffle machines and killed off my card counting, i would never play it online, guess im not a gambler just a poker player.

Dante, I hope you're staying away from that thing. Your roulette strategy is something like the martingale system, which has been around since the wheel was invented - it's just a matter of time 'till you're completely wiped out. Even worse, is that you hold on to the idea that you can actually win. Sure, you can win in the short-run, but like spartan just said, it's the gambling equivalent of crack. That first winning hit will just lead to another, not believing it will develop into a problem, you try another, and another... 'till you're way beyond the limits you set and down overall, then the problem really begins. Hopefully at that point you will stop, like in my case. A couple hundred down was enough for me. It's been a month and a half now, and I'm staying the fuck away! I just see that thing as something that eats money and that's it.

Imo some sites, especially the unscrupulous Mansion, know for a fact that if they don't include a self-exclusion option, a lot more people with gambling problems will play the casino.

This is completely unethical and if online casinos were more regulated, they would be forced to add this option.

Please don't play at these kind of sites, boycott them completely! Not only will you guys be able to resist the temptation, but you'll eventually force the "casinos" into changing their policies.

I wrote about my losses with casino side-games after blowing my entire PKR bankroll on casino hold'em.

Sites that do have casino side-games should have a self-exclusion option for those of us that find it hard to give in to the temptation of gambling (and then find it harder to close the window).

For those that don't offer self-exclusion and have casino games built-in, it might be an idea if they actually offered a version of their poker client without the casino side-games. Some would say they wouldn't do that because it isn't good business sense acting responsibly. It'd be somewhat akin to a fast food CEO advising that you shouldn't eat a whole pizza.

For me, throwing away $6,200 (and counting) in play chips is preferential to wasting away my poker bankroll - and it doesn't cause that sickness/self-disappointment feeling. Also gives me a further reason to stay away from blackjack, roulette, etc. Can't imagine how I'd feel if I blew over 6k on a game that's unbeatable - if it is beatable I couldn't afford that much of a downswing.

Why play against the house and lose when you can play against real people and win?

I hate gambling,Casino games are for lucky people or the rich. It's like playing poker without looking at your cards,stay away from blackjack and roulette especially online!

You can eliminate the BJ button from Titan in options

Been there, done that. I busted my microlimits roll because I couldn't stand following BRM and playing on NL4 back in the days, so roulette sounded like a quick double-or-nothing for the rest of my money. Cost me $30 and a three month prophylactic period, away from poker. Been staying away from casino games ever since. Normally, your brain would tell you to simply not play since you have no edge, but when you click that casino button, probabilities are just not what's going through your head. Just hide the button and slap yourself every time you get tempted to click it. Worked for me...

2 - 3 years ago I ask online customer support : Mansion , Titan (ipoker) and PokerTime CoolPoker (mikrogaming poker site)
can you forbid me to play casino games , and they say ok.
Now when I click on slots or roulett It say : You are not able to play casino games, contact customer support ( something like that)
I suggest that you people do the same

Last year I got some free money on 888... I think PS gave me a starting capital or I might have just built the free $8 up I can't remember.. Anyway...

I played some black jack, tripling my bet size every losing hand which of course is suicide long term but meh free money and I wanted to see how far I would get. Sooo, how far did I get? $16K and I'm not exaggerating... How quickly did I lose the lot using the above strategy? About an hour... Will 888 let me play their casino games anymore? No.

Moral of the story? Play at Stars if you're a degenerate or use some sick betting strategy that gets you banned.
