Well i have been doing pretty well at the tables but i logged out after 2 hands in a row.. sensed i was going to tilt and just turned my laptop off, and went out..

Ok now for the hands..

Hand (1)

My stack was around $75
His stack around $40

NL 50 - first had A :heart: A :spade: on the button...

Opponent UG1 rasie to $3 (Loose player and will call i knew) i raise to $15, and he called..

Flop 9 :spade: 3 :diamond: k :heart:

UG1 pushes all in on the flop..

I am sitting there thinking he hit KKK or he has AK but due to his play around the table, and the type of cards he goes all in with i called...

I turn ove A :heart: A :spade: he Turns Over 9 :heart: 10 :heart:

Well so far so good i have him so i thought..

Turn card was i think 3 :heart: and river card comes 9 :diamond:

I loose.. so i reload back to $50

Hand 2 (this is straight after i had AA)

I was dealt A :club: A :heart: again (First time in my life AA 2 times in a row)

Against the same player again and this time he is the BB.. and me on the CO

everyone fold and i raise the pot to $2 standard raise..

He comes over the top to $5, so i raised him again to $15 and he pushed all in..

Thinking i will now get my money back i called obviously..

so now its my A :club: A :heart: Vs his K :diamond: Q

flop comes K :heart: 10 :heart: Q :heart: now i am behind and only a heart will save me or an Ace

Turn card come the 9 :heart: brilliant now i am firm Fav to win this pot and getting happy..

River Card comes Q :spade: now what are the chances of that happening..

I was fuming now

i Just held my power button on the laptop and walked out of the house and did some ten pin bowling... (got a score of 197 ♦ )

That break did me a lot of good, cleared my head, regained my focus and now Back at the tables now and doing ok.. so far i $20 to go and ill make my money up that i lost earlier...

before everytime i use to take a bad beating i use to start playing hands i would never play, never use to consider my position and only use to think about how to get my money back... and replay the hands in my head over and over..

But i realised that this only makes me loose more and eventually loose my bankroll.. so its best to take time out and clear ones head before continuing to play

Hi,

At least you are aware of your game. Sometimes downswing is inevitable but the most important is the CONTROL. Don't be too aggressive in getting your money, I know if you PLAY WELL you will get it back.

life is about making mistakes and learning from them...

i know one can never really stop taking beats but its poker as long as i have played the hand right and loose then there is nothing i can do about it... just accept it and get on with the next hand or as i did take a little break from the tables...

i am a bit annoyed.. made a total of $180 in 5 hours, then lost 2 big hands..

1) First I had trip AAA bust out to a river straight..

2) Then my trip JJJ to Trip QQQ..

Both times the money went in preflop so could do nothing about it..

Now i back down to +$25 dollars in this session of poker..

Yes i know i am still in the green zone but still hard to take such a beating..
