[11:31:22 AM] kristjan laas: but overall with the stakes with him i am up like $8k

WTF!??!?! how ridic is that. stakes others with my money without telling me and obv keeping the profits. FML!

first "good" news, seems like that staking was ok. somebody else's money was the staking money, not mine. but doesnt change the fact that im still scammed for 7.5k

but just wanted to make things clear. no need to let simo look more scammy than he actually is.

Honestly, even going out of your way to give this information, you really are too nice to him.

But huge creds to you for doing it.

Richard

+1

I think TT has shown us all that despite being at the wrong side of some terrible things, he still has the pro mindset on how to deal with it.

I can't imagine how I would react to this personally.

Fair play TT, we've all known you to have this unbelievable mindset but the way you have handled and continued to handle this situation has been nothing short of exemplary.

I wish you all the best in getting this sorted to your satisfaction.

Best regards,
Gary

I don't think anybody can make him look scammier than he is. By googling this guy it seems that scamming is all he does. He's a notorious grand scammer, an ultimate douchebag.

Cars, IT, gambling... You name it, he scams it. And he's been around for a while (earliest records I could find date from 2002). Plus he's convicted for insurance fraud. So basically it's impossible to harm his reputation, it's already as low as it goes.

So what, you think a fraudulent jerk would have a stump leg, eyepatch and wear convict clothes? Of course frauds "seem nice", it's how they scam you.

You have my whole moral support TT, and I believe the support of this community as well.

I doubt it will ever come to that, but if there is anything I/this community can do please ask.

These situations make me sick, especially that he was a friend of yours. Who sells a friendship and his honour for some $? Ridiculous. But I'm not laughing.

I got scammed as well lately. At least it wasn't anyone close, this way it's just the $.

What actions are you going to take? Estonian law offers any legal solutions for this?

Good luck on your journey, and shame on anyone who gets helped like this scammer got and throws away that friendship. FFS many ppl don't even get the chance to have their friends do stuff like this for them, and he throws it away. Can't imagine how he can look into the mirror.

TwiceT, im sorry for your loss, however I am happy that you have the resources to travel to Estonia and take appropriate action. Its about time some of the scamming scumbags in the poker community got actions taken against them, with lasting concequences, though sadly it usually happens to people without the know how/resources to take action on the scammer.

You treat him like a brother, and he treats you like shit. How dare he does this to you. I would kill myself before scamming someone that treats me like this. I mean he doesn't even have the audacity to repay you, let alone he fucking scams you. This guy must have no moral values, and an IQ of 20. I hope you find luck with your situation and this sucker goes down.

we talked about our situation today a little bit on Skype. Let me give all of you a short update what happened the last months (last contact January 2012):

- We had a few talks on Skype with Simo.
- He shipped us back a few hundrets overall which we intepreted as a good sign.

-

Well, not much. After a few Skype convos he again hids from us. From what we know he currently plays on PokerStars. I hope he luckboxes a trny and then we get his Stars account frozen forever. What a bastard!

What would you guys do in our spot? I think we should do a public poll and then just go with the will of the community.

€: I heard he won "a lot" on PKR. Obv not rly nice to hear that. Even a calm guy like me gets "slightly" angry ...

Well its kinda sad but there really isn't any good options to get payed back when someone owes you money. Unless they pay back willingly its really tough to get the money back.

Sure you can go oldschool on him and beat the f*** out of him but that doesn't really get you paid back and it can get you in more trouble then its worth and you might end up paying him.

Legally there aren't really any options either, especially if you lent him his loan in cash you actually have no proof of ever loaning him money. And even if you do the legal fee's and lawyers are to expensive and the whole proces to time consuming to be worth it. Legal systems tend to protect the scammers :(

I don't really know what happend with you and simo but it really seems like he doesn't have the money to pay you back since he would have to be really retarded to scam you out of 7k while having your support as a friend/coach/stacking which is definitly worth more then 7k in future EV.

On the other hand there are people who figure they don't need to pay you back because you have a lot more money then they do which is kinda psychotic way of thinking.

Not sure in which category simo is but his probably in both.
