Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.20(BB) Replayer
SB ($22.40)
Hero ($20)
UTG ($46.30)
CO ($20.30)
BTN ($23.98)

Dealt to Hero J♦ T♦

fold, CO raises to $0.60, BTN calls $0.60, fold, Hero calls $0.40

FLOP ($1.90) 8♠ 8♥ 9♦

Hero bets $1.20, CO folds, BTN calls $1.20

TURN ($4.30) 8♠ 8♥ 9♦ J♠

Hero bets $2.50, BTN raises to $5, Hero folds

Its anonymous table and I use hm1 so I dont have stats of him, but I remember that he play very loose, and passve pos flop.

Flop I do donkbet for semi-bluff case is a bord that, doesnt hit very much their range

Turn I try a thin value bet, but I dont know if is good idea.
As played is call with goods pot odds?

4Hi,

if you call pre-flop I like leading on the flop with overcards and oesd. I would also bet turn, but at least 2.8$. Half pot seems a little weak and may induce bluffraises from worse hands.
Since he only min-raised you get odds to hit your straight or boat

Best regards,

I think is a kind more then 1/2por cause the rake.

But why bet turn?

and what is our line if we hit our draw? donkbet/fold, and what size?

@Kaitz

Hey man,

u sure it's an ok call OTT? What range do you think he minraises there?

I just feel like we have huuuge RIO and we will not get paid when we hit and get stack off only against worse..

If you don't mind I'd like you to answer these questions so I can get into these spots ... I'm so confused in these like all the time :X :)

1) OTR Q comes (no fd complete)

we bet for value ~1/2 and he shoves your play?

2) we miss, he bets a) 1/2 b) 3/4 your play?

Thanks very much ... :)

How about check/raising the flop instead of donking?

Hello mawaykid,

What I'd ask on the turn is already what's the purpose of the Bet there? Do you think you can get even value 2 streets there? Do you think a lot draws around which we need to protect from? Might even be better idea just to Check there and keep his range wide and even weaker PPs/pairs in the pot and avoid exactly such a spot.

Also if you are betting then you should still do it bigger and protect our hand, cause as I would understand that's our plan with the Bet on the turn. Afterwards either to continue or not is mainly dependent on the opponent we are against vs passive ones I might even just leave the pot alone while we could already have reversed implied odds and never know what kind of outs are clean for us.

Best Regards.
