Hello fellow pokerstrategisers. It has been a very long time since I've posted on here, and almost as long since I last played poker. In fact for those of you who are interested, prior to this week, the last time I played was on fulltilt on 1st November 2010. On that day I lost $83 at NL10 and with my total winnings at -$227 I pretty much decided poker was not for me. This is why I cam back to poker: The love bit just about topped the hate bit (the chimp represents thinking, and the cashier represents my preoccupation with the cashier). Now onto the playing side (where I am playing at NL5 with shots at NL10). I decided that if I'm going to try to become a good poker player then I need the tools so I invested in: Hold'em Manager 2 using the PokerStrategy.com deal; and Aaron Davis/Tri Nguyen's "Poker Blueprint" which was highly recomended to me as a 6max player. Fortunately I kept my old hand histories from my fulltilt failure and one glance at my results graph shows what I assume is/(hopefully)was a major flaw in my game. Spoiler Ok now for a flurry of question!! :spade:I'm assuming that non-showdon loses of 6600bbs over 75000 hands is a really bad? :heart:Someone will have to let me know what would be a more reasonable amount to lose, or should I infact be winning in the non-showdown stat? :diamond:Is it likely that this flaw (if it is one) can be attributed to one thing and what should I bear in mind when trying to combat this? :club:Finally if I correct the non-showdown winnings problem, will it have a major affect on my showdown winnings? Thanks Assuming that this was a problem I read the poker blueprint taking notice of areas that would improve non-showdown winnings. Specifically concerning mine and my oponents continuation betting and my lack of aggression pre flop which I it appears left me in marginal situations too often post flop. So here is a small 10000 hand sample from my 2nd attempt: Spoiler For some reason, most likely because it's 3.38am, I posted this one in bbs instead of $ (what would people prefer for the future?) As you can see (unless you are reading this in brail, in which case I am sorry and I will now describe it) so far the non-showdown winnings issue has been rectified, but I am losing when it comes to the showdown. Ihave to say that for at least the first 5000 hands I played terribly (a word of advice for anyone returning to the game like I have- don't expect to reach anywhere near the volume you previously could. I did not appreciate that my brain was not capable of assessing people's potential ranges in seconds and therefore I made a few laughable calls for my entire stack and only managed to control the "hero call urge" after I wrote a harshly worded statement advising me against such antics and stuck it to my computer screen. Tomorrow I will post some stuff about my evening session today, which I feel was the best I've ever played. Sadly I only won a couple of $ over the 2000 hands but I was all-in with the best hand so often that despite a $24 difference between my $all-in ev and what my actual $won was I still finished up. A final question here; how much attention should be paid to All-in EV? is it a significant indicator of good or bad luck that should in the long run be nearly equal to your actual winnings? or does it hold less weight and is it therefore likely that you will continually find your actual winnings to be below or above the All-in EV line? I ebbed away slowly and was the last person to bust on day 1 running KJ into AK for about 8bbs.

I finished 71st which was good for $736. Thats 3x what my bankroll was before today, so extremely handy.

I can now look forward to crushing NL25, hopefully this is just the start :).

I am very tired now and need sleep.

First day of NL25 sucked sooooooooooooooooooo bad.

In the first 100 hands I lost with AA v QQ all in pre flop, then AA v AT. Then I lost with AA v 44 against a shortstacker and ran KK into AA for another buy in.

Despite all that I fought back over the next 1000 hands and was only a buy in down before I spazzed out and lost 2 quick buy ins.

All told I am -$88 for the day.

I also bought a % of a friend of mine in some SCOOP events, he plays a decent PLO game so I think that was +EV.

Total bankroll= $867.
