$0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players

BTN: $10.40 (104 bb)
SB: $21.20 (212 bb)
BB: $11 (110 bb)
UTG: $11.84 (118.4 bb)
Hero (MP): $14.19 (141.9 bb)
CO: $8.79 (87.9 bb)

SB unknown
BB 24/20/1.5/3.2/14/304hands

BB seems like a reg, so I'm not sure what to make of his passive flop play.
What kind of range would you give him? I doubt he would play 33/55 this way, also A5,A3 are unlikely to even be in his range, let alone be played this way.

My flop raise is the best option also isn't it?

On the turn i guess i should still b/f, but could he even have just an Ax hand that would call again?
i was thinking pretty much the only hands that play this way were badly played FD's so i decided to pot control.

Preflop: Hero is MP with K♣ A♠
UTG folds, Hero raises to $0.30, CO folds, BTN calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($1.20) A♣ 5♣ 3♦ (4 players)
SB bets $0.57, BB calls $0.57, Hero raises to $2.10, 2 folds, BB calls $1.53

Turn: ($5.97) Q♣ (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks

River: ($5.97) Q♠ (2 players)
BB bets $4.10, Hero folds

Spoiler

Results: $5.97 pot ($0.27 rake)
Final Board: A♣ 5♣ 3♦ Q♣ Q♠
BB mucked and won $5.70 ($3.30 net)
Hero mucked K♣ A♠ and lost (-$2.40 net)

Hello dannywratten,

Kind of close on the flop but I'd usually also rather raise and might even protect our hand and of course gain value from worse. Otherwise seems to be as well fine as long FD completes and he will have tough time to continue while he is a REG.

What's your plan if you get 3bet from BB for example?

Best Regards.

If i get 3bet from BB after he calls sb donk and i raise, i think its a fold. He could play 33,55 this way, im not sure any other hands play like that.

Whats your thoughts of his range after he calls twice on the flop? It would have to be almost completly made up of FDs right? Just seems unlikely he would do it with Ax or sets.
Thanks veriz :)

Yep, we are planning to leave the pot alone if we get a backstab. Most likely I would assume he is betting like that on the river with strong hand which tries to avoid you Checking behind.
