This was my most profitable hand ever... it felt so good. When i saw that diamond hitting on the river i knew someone had hit a flush and a possible lower fullhouse so i checked for fireworks

NOT checking (the River) in spots like this was one of the solid improvements I made to my game.

Firstly -- if someone hit their flush you will get raised anyway.
Secondly, you will miss value on hands that would call a River bet but be too afraid to bet the Flush card, and will check behind.
Most of the time your opponents do not have the flush, but will call, sometimes even with just A-high in huge pots.

Easy exercise -- watch the number of times you check the River when a scare card falls and it getss checked behind only for you to win the SD with a better pair. Count them -- and see just how much your WR would improve -- probably 1BB/100.

Dont check-call when you think you are beat except where you absolutely must see a SD versus an aggro player. Adopt a bet-fold strategy where you know a raise means you are beat (tho obviously not here!). Bet-fold costs the same as check-call but you pick up value from the calls when you are ahead and lose the same when behind (often your opponents wont raise you with better hands, but would have bet if you checked, so again you lose the same).
This is an important difference between good players and mediocre ones.

If you want to be clever dont check -- pause-bet. Just make it look like you think for a moment. Dont make it too long -- thats just Hollywood -- a couple of seconds extra should convince Fish you dont like the card (even if they dont think it -- they feel it).

These are not upswings and downswings -- they are swongs.

Swongs are just part of the normal game. Look at your long-term graph to see how insignificant they are.

You ran bad for a bit and then ran good for a bit, thats all.
I think it only counts as a downswing when you cannot recover it over a few sessions -- so 200BB+ minimum.

4 Max tables at ipoker seem to be the nuts I am on a little break as i was tired of grinding but i had to play some poker. Went to ipoker to play some so i doesn't interfere with my stars graph. 4 MAX is so fun... love tilting nits!! Just playing 2c/4c thought. i fell like a ♠_cool: there!!

More like a good fishing People were calling me with trash. if i had any pair i would win. Fold when got action from nits and bet when they just called. Won pots with queen high when they didn't hit their draw lol
