Yeah, he's good. But it's something to aim for, right?

40k games? That sounds like a lot. Especially in the micros, if I'd have to play 40k games, winrate would be the least of my problems

I'd say if you were playing 40k games at the micros winrate would be the most of your problems :f_biggrin:

You English with your language

Anyway, a nice 65 games day. I averaged 2.8 minutes per game today, which is crazy for me (usually 2.1-2.2 min/game), or I would've played more...

Lost 5 BIs, 10 BIs below EV. Happy with the way I've played, just got kicked by variance a bit. Also a couple of KK<AA and similar spots. Hypers gonna hyper...

I'm really happy to say that I haven't tilted at all today. Really, not even a single reaction to the results. I'm not going to say that my mental problems are fixed, but I'm seeing an overall improvement there. Thank you, Mr. Tendler.

Will have a bit less time tomorrow, but will try to get up an hour earlier than usual (so 8AM instead of 9AM), so I can grind it out before work. I have a party in the evening, so no poker there...

Good night.

I finished my first session for the day early (hungry as shit), and while waiting for my mum to finish up the lasagna, I figured I'd make a blog post.

Yesterday I've played only ~40 games. No time for more, mainly due to work + social life. I've lost the first 5 games, 6BIs below EV, and naturally thought it would be one of those days. How I was wrong... I've won the next 13 games, and 18/19, and ended the day in ~8BIs profit.

Today started off OK, too.

I'd really like your input on something, though. I'm trying to optimize my session length. Obviously, the longer the better, but I tend to lose focus after ~25 minutes.

So what I'm trying to do is play a session of 2h, with breaks after every 30 minutes (trying hard to focus the last 5-10 minutes of a mini session). At the break, I always get up from my computer, either do a set or two of pushups, go to the toalet etc...

Do you guys do it differently, and in what way? Did you even think about this?

I'd really appreciate your answers on this. Thanks :)

i actually do this pretty similar as you, after ~1hr mini session i get up from pc, stretch out, go to wc etc. 10min and i'm back for more: )

Yeah, I also lose focus quite fast (like 2-3hrs). Optimally I'd like to play 1st session in the morning, then later on in day take a nap and after nap have another session.

Good point of conversation. I find it really hard to put in volume in HU SnGs, mainly because I 1 table the Turbos, which means after every one I then have the chance for a "short" break, which turns out to be too long

When I 2 table the Hypers I can play for about an hour solid with no drop in focus, but I don't like 2 tabling much yet, I just can't seem to follow the multiple adjustments for multiple players that I have to do.

I play for 40 to 50 minutes and have a small break. If I'm not playing well I do try to quit before and just go do something else.

Yeah, I have this same problem. Except, I get a chance for a break every 2.3 minutes in average :f_biggrin: I have to try really hard to just insta-reg next game after finishing one.

Thanks everyone, and feel free to keep posting about this.

Low volume yesterday and today. My mum was in chemo this week, so these past few days I couldn't play in the mornings (went to pick her up), then had work, hang out with the gf etc...

As I'm too tired to play any more now, and will probably go for a walk, I'll post a graph since I've re-started playing hypers. It's been a month already:

I ran much better on the $7s than on the $3.5s, and am still 30BIs below EV for the period, but $ graphs have gotten closer, which is nice

EV ROI is a solid 4.5%, and I hope I can keep it (if not improve it) in the next days/months.

My BR now is at ~630$. I'll be taking a shot at the $15s with 50BIs, so another 120$, and I'm good to go. 2 good days, right?

Not sure how much I'll play over the weekend, life might get in the way, but really should get 3-4h of play per day.

Have a good night.

Your EV line is sooo much nicer than mine, everything is just so swingy on mine with hypers.

It's still a small sample, but I like it, too

Thanks, much appreciated. She's ok now actually, this is just as a prevention :)

1300 games in a month, while having a personal life and working? Not too bad, Hypers seem like a nice volume game for you!

And yeah, EV's looking good!

Wow, support all around. This community is great, thanks guys

Anyway, this should teach me not to post graphs which might be considered "good". Absolutely crushed today:

Whole day of jamming right into top people's ranges, and in the rare cases I was ahead, I'd lose anyway...

Oh well, at least volume was great, and even under these circumstances I didn't really tilt. Obviously, I couldn't stay perfectly cool, but I don't think tilt influenced any of my decisions.

Tomorrow is another day, right? I'm probably going to play for ~2h in the morning, then watch F1 (should be a good one) and play again unless I go out somewhere with friends/gf.

Peace.

And finally I get here!

I managed to read last four pages and GL to you.

You seem well organised and motivated and those are important attributes.

I know nothing of Hyper SnGs so can offer nothing there, but hope you succeed.

@trickybob: Thanks for the kind words, sir _biggrin:

@Belg: Yeah, I know things might still get worse, but I'm choosing to think they will not :f_biggrin:

Anyway, not playing today, after all. Slept like crap, woke up with a headache and two chores I (suddenly) had to do, and when I got back, decided not to play today.

Well, maybe a MTT or two, if I'm at home later.
