Hi all,

@OZSA - sent you invitation here.

The grind started, a bit slower this month since I missed the first few days, but I will make up for it soon. I will have to alter my playing hours a bit because...

EURO 2012 STARTS :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup: :f_thumbsup: :f_cool: :f_biggrin: :f_cool: :f_biggrin:

Feeling very excited about it, too bad I won't be able to go watch a game there. Next time maybe. On the other hand I'll try not to miss a single match and still put in the volume... FML :f_biggrin:

Enjoying EURO 2012 sooo much :f_love: Rediscovering the love for football even though the games so far are not really spectacular (except for the russians) Nontheless the atmosphere of this tournament is really unique and I remember ever since I was a kid I dreamed of having enough time to watch all the games, not interupted by school, exams, work, whatever... and now I'm finally there :f_biggrin: 4 out of 4 so far and it looks good... we are up for very interesting games...

Poker is going well I guess... not huge volume, but a decent rungood and well above EV :f_cool: Need to increase my learning/analyzing hours because there aren't any right now. My game is going autopilot often so I have a lot to improve before taking more shots higher. Good thing the fish is always there to compensate for mistakes...

God mode is on... 9 BIs above EV so far, sucking out 20%rs like a pro _cool: Also people are starting to get paranoid on me and stack off light pre against my monsters when I work on my image early on on the table... nice stuff. Running so good and feeling like this time it will never end :f_love: Ship iiiiiit _grin:

Thanks guys, appreciate it :f_grin:

Long time, no update... I've been playing the whole time on a regular basis and managed to finish the month pretty good despite my poor volume.

Spoiler

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

First 3k month for me _cool:

Another good thing is that online poker in my country won't be touched just yet so the way I see it this gives me at least several months before the regulation come into effect and kill it all over here :f_thumbsup:

I have also decided to try and teach 2 friends of mine to play poker. One of them have played home games few times, the other didn't knew the rules. So we are just starting now and they will be playing NL2 after reading the basic articles and talk them over. I was thinking about doing this as a blog or posting updates on in here. Since they will strat without tracking software there won't be any graphs at first but I'll figure out a way for us to review and post their hands. Hopefully they will both be able to crush soon.

Its almost sunrise now so I'm heading to bed to catch at least one semi dark hour of sleep :f_biggrin:

Great news came today... me and a friend of mine won tickets to see Formula 1 in Monza in September. All expenses paid _cool: We won it through a lottery held by computer shop where I bought my mouse so now we get to freeroll the thing :) Haven't followed F1 in years but it looks like its time now...

I love poker For real... it looks like this game is about to change my life. Winning money, seeing all this areas to improve and knowing that there will always be something else is making me feel really amasing. And it turns out that when you are happy doing something and when you are doing good everything around you is just coming together. I see a lot of people around me, really struggling with life, jobs, money, relations with others and so on... and I have none of these issues right now. What I feel looks almost like ultimate happiness and poker seems to be the main reason for it, the foundation to build all of it over. Like a tool that can help you develope better you... So I'd like to take this moment to thank this great site and community that made all of this available to me... ty guys and good luck to all (whatever luck is :f_biggrin:)

Thank you DrDunne

I'll try to start the blog soon but first I'll need to see some consistent efforts made so I know if it would be worthwhile. So far we went through the basics with my students, they got starting capital and started playing NL2. Still trying hard to get rid of all the limping and calling down with GS kind of stuff... will see how it goes. Volume still low to make any conclusions.

On the other topic... I haven't posted hands in a while so here it goes. Party at my house for me being able to make that play... I never usually do it :f_biggrin:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
SB ($120)
BB ($100)
UTG ($132)
Hero ($115)
BTN ($119)

Dealt to Hero A♥ A♠

UTG raises to $3, Hero raises to $9, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls $6

FLOP ($19.50) 9♦ Q♣ 6♠

UTG checks, Hero bets $12, UTG calls $12

TURN ($43.50) 9♦ Q♣ 6♠ 8♣

UTG checks, Hero checks

RIVER ($43.50) 9♦ Q♣ 6♠ 8♣ 4♥

UTG checks, Hero bets $29.75, UTG raises to $111 (AI), Hero folds

UTG wins $99

I was about to snap call the river as usuall and lose my stack to his set... had to use my other hand to pull my finger of the left mouse button :f_biggrin: On the other hand me and villain played 3 3bet pots in less that 20 min. He c/r turn before and then probably tried to float me, folding to 2 barrel on turn card that brought every draw he could rep with his flop call:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $1(BB) Replayer
Hero ($106)
BB ($101)
UTG ($103)
UTG+1 ($101)
CO ($100)
BTN ($199)

Dealt to Hero K♠ A♦

fold, fold, fold, BTN raises to $3, Hero raises to $10, fold, BTN calls $7

FLOP ($21) J♠ 7♥ T♠

Hero bets $13, BTN calls $13

TURN ($47) J♠ 7♥ T♠ 9♠

Hero bets $32, BTN folds

Hero shows K♠ A♦

Hero wins $44.65

Still I'm happy about the fold of AA and hope I can make these more often...

Of to see Ice Age 4 now :f_love:

Ice age 4 rocked  I recomend it to anyone who liked the series.

Sick beat with PS and 888 canceling their contract. No more strategy points from there. I was thinking about changing sites so I can keep playing tracked but then I figured that with August comming it might not be the best time for me to start FDbonus whoring somewhere else given that I intend to spend some time away. So for now I stay at 888.

Some plans and goals to randomly throw in in the middle of the month:

As some know I took a shot at NL200 some time ago and they kicked my ass there so after that I've been grinding NL100. However lately I'm getting worried that I might have gotten way too comfortable there, not challenging miself enough and not improving. And wise people say that most people should be able to play profitable at the midstackes if they approach it the right way. So after the summer is over at the latest I intend to give it another shot whether it would be at 888 or somewhere else. By the end of the year I'm hoping to be winning at NL200 so that is the new goal I guess.

I hope hands like that will keep comming to me on my way to it... gotta miss 888

Hey man, I also play NL100 at 888. What's your name there? (Sorry if you mentioned it before, did not read the whole blog). We could possibly do something productive like talking poker or something like that :)

@Pkrpains - sent you invitation, don't know if you noticed :)

@martinstids - tx man, enjoy :)

July is over now. I managed decent volume even though I had to miss last 3 days completely. I played aroung 95 hours and it is slight improvement compared to last months. And here comes the brag part :f_biggrin: July was also my biggest winning month ever. Here is the graph:

Also 500$ rakeback on top of it. Right now I'm winning at about 7.90/100bb and if I can figure out a way for my non showdown line not to look like I'm using it to drill a passage to Australia or something I might actually become good player :f_biggrin:

All in all everything is fine or so you would think There is one thing on my mind I'm starting to be bothered about and what's better place to whine about it than here in my blog :P Thing is that recently I made my first withdrawal from 888. They started the verification process and now for more than 2 weeks my money are in the poker limbo between the cashier and MB. I know that it took some people longer than that to recieve their funds and I keep repeating it to myself after I check my email for a 3rd time everyday but it's starting to get on my nerves a little bit. I might wait for 3 weeks and after that I will try to whine to the support which should achieve 2 things:

1. I'll signal I'm still alive and waiting (even though it woudn't really make things any faster)
2. I'll make someone else feel as annoyed as I am (even though he/she has nothing to do with it)

Whine is over and now some August plans:

My idea is to try and spent as long as possible away form Sofia to the sea cost. However I figured I might be missing poker too much and now I'm looking for internet options while there. Therefore I expect to be able to put in some volume and hopefully make some $$$.

After I'm back I'll have to find new room and it might be tough because I'll miss all the fishies and also there are soooo many good rooms that are unvailable in Bulgaria, it's unreal...

888 verified me within 1 week, cashouts from were allways 4-5 days. It would be smart to keep 10-15 BI at a time, to prevent the unexpected.

Nice blog.

Thanks sinsas :) 888 verified me even though it took long time so now its all fine.

I don't have time for long update because I'm off to Monza for the F1 race... weeeeeeeee... in 3 hours and I haven't starting packing yet

I spent August away to the see coast as planned and I also managed to put in decent volume considering the circumstances - about 70 hours of play which suprised me a little bit. My results was also a suprise :) Was very close to having a loosing month and broke to the + in my last session making it around 500$ with rakeback :f_o: My EV difference from 1 of August until now is about 22 BIs and this gotta be my worst run ever. Needless to say I got pretty pist off in the process but overall my mindset could be much worse I guess. I would love to whine a little bit more but gotta go packing now.

See you all soon
