Poker and history...WHAAAAT... Going to Vienna.

In Vienna already. Will take the opportunity to bitch a bit about my hostel - one of the worse ones I've been to - dirty, unsafe looking, a lot of noises all the time - you name it, they got it ♦ I'm staying in single room but I can still hear every step and every move in the common room. Oh well, I survived the army, I'll survive that as well I guess

Good location though, close to everything. That's the one thing really fine about it.

That's it so far - now going to enjoy hostel's nice facilities

Btw somebody was just kicked out of her room next door by the stuff. I didn't hear much details but "you didn't pay", and "no money" were the key words that might have something to do with it. It was a real strugle though... the person was trying to convince them to let her in and call some number but no mercy from them. Bad beat and life variance. So in that perspective my position is not that bad I guess...

Back in Sofia after few amazing days in Vienna. Loved the city very much, will go back one day for sure. Met some people, saw some old friends too. That include coaches (Mr Schnitzelfisch and his sick percieved image ), black members, live tournament sickos. Was actually kind of funny to start small talk with a person, telling him I grind NL100 and few minutes later he is talking about his 10 events during the last SWOP

Felt great motivation to continue improving and climbing up limits but then I came back home and this happened:

Soo bad. I think I should request my poker sites to add new feature to their responsible gaming sections and cut myself from playing turns and rivers with KK+.

It looks I'm still on in good position to try and keep my 4th place in the rakerace at Unibet. However for the 4-5 days I didn't play some guys seriously closed down the gap between us and I'll have to sit on my behind and put in the hours.

One thought from today. Does anybody pay attention to his/her river call efficiency stat. I just realized what the stat means but I'm uncertain what it tells us.

So basicly if you RCE is 2 it means that you get a return of 2$ for every 1$ invested on the river by calling or c/calling (not sure about bet/calling and such but they are probably included as well). However the way I see it it's not optimal to just have something really high (3,4 etc.) because the way to achieve that is to simply only call with the nuts. So if you try to have bluffcatching range with marginal hands your RCE will fall down (you will somethimes end up against top of villains range) but there might be more profit because these bluffcatches are justified and have positive EV themselves that just adds to the EV of your calls with the nuts.

In other words if you have RCE of 4 (don't know if someone could actually have that) it would mean that he is super tight on the river and very exploitable to river bluffs even though the stat itself suggests that he make very profitable river calls.

I wonder if this make any sense to you and how usefull this stat actually is.

Btw my RCE is 1.42 for the last 100k hands and my spewy river calls frustrate the shit out of me recently which is why I think about this stat.

This morning I played around with HM2 filters a little bit and discovered some leaks. Disturbing stuff really. It looks like I'm losing money when I find myself allin one way or another Also I got another impresive result - being able to lose money overall with AA, KK and other premiums in some scenarios. And not only that but these hands are actually my biggest losers. Good job me

I want to play a lot but unluckily I have a ton of things to do untill Friday. Maybe I'll be able to squeeze in 2 short sessions but I feel my 4th place in the rakerace is in great jeopardy.

Looks like I'm a man of many talents ♦ Apparently when I 3bet KK+, AQ+ and the final pot is +100 bb I run at the impresive rate of -2655 bb/100. In this scenario QQ is the only hand of the premiums that I make money with in the last month. It is small sample of course but so far I was living with the notion that no mater what you do with KK+ you will be profitable and now I'm proven otherwise

Had a fun seminar at uni today. I brought some sweets to my students from Vienna. The reason is I overslept the last one after I played untill late the night before so decided to punish myself with it. Fun thing was that I almost overslept today aswell. Played untill 4:30, went to sleep, didn't hear alarm and accidently woke up just in time to jump on my bike... on my bike... to get there in time. The students like me I think, I kind of like them too... too bad I have to teach them history and not crushing NL2... Imagine a room filled with little grinding machines...

I think I secured the 4th place in the rakerace, unless there is some monster gring from the competition after 28th. Monthly report is to come after my last session tonight. Stay tuned or keep not caring ♦

November is over. Had some big plans for it but it didn't worked out exactly how I thought it should. Broke even more or less, made some money from rakeback and promotions. It started off pretty well but ended up whatever. I'm not happy with my play at the end - I think I played tilted a lot and did quite a lot of random spew. EV line is obviously but if I haven't made ton of mistakes I would've won more anyway.

The thing I'm really happy about is volume. Played 72k hands, 6 tabling with total of 123 hours - my best accomplishment since my 24 tabling days at Pokerstars.

Will arrange some discusing hands and stuff with another NL100 player next month and I hope results will follow.

Will play some football tomorow and after that I should put a lot of work analyzing and improving. Should also think about reading new poker book, haven't done so in a while.

My database scared the shit out of me today. Somehow when I 3bet SB open raise from BB i lose 1k bb/100 with AQs+, AKo, QQ+ in November... is this for real

December started and I'm crashing and burning. Losing a lot and playing bad consequently. Really hoping it would turn around soon, otherwise I might have to drop down. Right now it's one of these times when you feel like you are going to lose no matter what you do. I had my first and only winning session on 6th of December and I haven't missed a day

Exactly how I felt. Moved to Ongame now and I enjoy poker a lot more then at anonymous tables.
