I asked it from the support there and got this...

We are very happy to have entered into a partnership with PokerStrategy recently. Unfortunately the partnership does not extend to already existing player accounts. We are aware that you already have an account with us prior to the start of this partnership, therefore you cannot collect points with PokerStrategy. We are currently looking at other alternatives to provide benefits to those players who already had a PokerStars account prior to our relationship with PokerStrategy. Once we have a solution we will provide you with further information. In the meantime, our VIP Club...

That's totally correct. It's impossible to retrack your existing PokerStars account to PokerStrategy.

PokerStars was my first on-line Poker room.
I started using them because they were pretty much the only one whose client worked in linux (That is still the case I think).
Absolutely no complaints.
I never even considered using another poker site until I joined pokerstrategy and then I joined partypoker and have been using them ever since.
If I could get my strategy points from playing at PokerStars I would probably go back there tomorrow.

Hi,

I'm thinking of opening an account on PokerStars, so i downloaded the software to take a look and i have a maybe dumb question about the no limit tables. I found that almost every one of them are 'no all-in' tables. What does that mean? Are they pot limit tables? (I don't know what are the rules of pot limit, but i guess the pot is limited there :), so there's no all-in)

Thanks,
kesgab

I had the exact same thing yesterday :P It means no all-in protection, something with disconnecting while all-in i believe.

It means that if you get disconnected you are in the same state as being all in. You go till showdown without having to bet.

Have you tried telling them that?

Maybe they will start making exceptions to get their players back

Which bonus are you referring to? The 50$+100$ offer or the 100% deposit bonus?

Well I'll take it that you mean the 50$+100$ offer since both of the offers I mentioned amount to 100$ :P

For the extra 100$ you have to clear 500VPP and you have to do that in a 90 days period, otherwise the free 50$ expires too.

The bonus is relived in one payment, but it is manual, so it may take up to 24h to get it after you got 500VPP.

Hope I answered it for ya, if you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Firstly, I made a mistake in my previous post. The starting capital at stars is only 50$, but you can get another 100$ if you deposit. Sorry about that.

VPPs are only to determine your status and FPPs are for spending. You can spend them in their VIP shop or use them to buy in to tournaments.

As far as I know you can withdraw any winnings.

Hope that clears it for ya

Anything else?
