Hi, well I realise my first mistake on this was to not bet on the flop. I was mainly wondering if I should've called on the river. The only hand I thought would've had me beat at that point was a slow played quads, but given the poor level of play, a bluff was more likely. I definitely didn't want to bet as hands weaker than mine are going to fold anyway.

Hello pyropove,

Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

Bet the flop yourself instead and protect your hand. We don't want to face some kind of huge Bet. There are tons of worse hands which pay you. But otherwise yeah well, you just beat bluff. Do you think he is capable of bluffing?

Best Regards.

Thanks for the help. I couldn't make an accurate guess if he's capable of making bluffs. I had only played 35 hands with him prior. The only read I got on him, is that he had a wide limping range preflop.

Then instead should bet yourself then to avoid such a spot where you don't know if you are ahead. :)
