long time no see ( regarding my former update rate ) ...

so i had some bad sessions again and yesterday decided not to play at all. i went to the beach with friends instead and had a great time although i got sun-burned a little

we went to the local airport and then to a casino (just walked outside to see the view lol- no money these days ) at night, just to have a car ride ♦ it was really fun can't complain for sure!

today had some housework to do and also pack my things as i'm permanently moving on tuesday so we had to remove most of my stuff for all these years ( the rest on sunday-monday and after that we should paint the house ) .

by the way this would be the toughest summer of my life maybe.. i need to be at hometown and think that student years are over and responsibilities will appear gradually. i should finish with my exams soon enough to get in the army first and then look for a job, which is also difficult to find nowadays at greece so i'm not really optimistic about all these changes.

anyway i don't have to worry at this time so much for that, summer is on the way and at least i can really enjoy it at my coastal hometown ( since with no savings left, i can't really afford going on vacations this year ) .

and something about poker finally. both my backer and I decided to cance; our staking deal at the moment and when i sort non- poker things out and if possible we could start a new one. we can really trust each other anyway and i really appreciate his help on my improvement so far, although results may not be as good as expected by both.

then, after we split the profits ( yeah i got some at least ♦ ) i will move down limits in order to minimize the risk and have proper bankroll for those stakes..probably i will be playing a mix of multi sngs up to 1$ and i hope i will move up soon enough. on the other hand i'm still considering getting into fifty-50s again ( lowest buy in to start of course- turbos for sure ) and try to win regularly given the fact i'm slightly better at shoving ranges etc.in addition, swings should be less cruel there i guess. still thinking about my options.

anyone willing to answer my dilemma?

Hey man loved your post, I'm in Australia and I finally found a semi-ok job which starts in 16 days, problem is I've loved the last 8 weeks of my life trying to become a poker pro!

Im still going to play poker but not as much volume so I'm going to use some of the money from my job and up my bankroll so higher games make up for less volume. I've been grinding the 0.50cent 45 mans, don't laugh seriously there are alot of good regs making decent monies at these levels.

Most of the good regs play around 15 games 50cent and 15 games 1.50 45 mans. It's a great way to build a roll. I broke even last month for 820 games, then last night crazy lost 40 buy-ins my worst run in 8 weeks but that's poker! Hopefully massive upswing tonight get my variance back, Often you see goldstars that have wiped out taking a stab at higher stakes come back to quickly replenish there roles.

So I suggest stay away from 50 / 50 ROI too low unless you can play crazy robot volume!! Are there any weekend warriors out there that work full-time and play decent monthly volume ? Im going to try play 300 to 500 games a week means 30 tabling but meh, Im already stacking 24 so yeah just my advice !! Im trying to build a roll for $2.50 180's

ok i thought about it also myself, had some fifty-50s session too. i noticed that it's more difficult to concentrate and take the best decisions all the time if massive multitabling like me( 20 tables ) and after some time u fell tired etc. i also didn't have steady winnings at these sessions although some non poker problems showed up(pc running slow because of many programs running so lag with many tables and hud stats, internet connection not stable during many tables open etc). i also thought that i need to get used to a different style than that in multi sngs and i don't really have time to adjust again to a different style. so

i will continue playing turbo multi sngs, starting from 0.5$ as u suggested and once i get to 200 buy ins i will start 1.5$.

and generally once i get to 200 buy ins for next level i will move up
or move down when i get to less than 150 buy ins

ok my roll now is at 284$ and i will try my 1st session after playing on my own again..

no updates for a long time i must admit but this seems to be a "tough" summer for sure.

i finally moved in my hometown after 2 exhausting days(carried all the furniture, painted former house etc) but that's now over at last.

another issue showed up though. it seems that it's too difficult for me to forget all these 4 years at university and i'm kinda depressed remembering all these people,situations that i have to leave behind me.this is getting even worse by the fact that my friends aren't here yet so i have too much free time and i think about it all the time.still no job found yet,which would also make me free my mind.

anyway i hope i will get over this feeling soon cause i can't stand it at all..any useful help/advice is welcome

and time to get back to poker. just one session played these days. a terrible one regarding my luck but playing at these stakes won't hurt me that much

hey everyone! i succeded in playing one more 25-tabling set and finished just some minutes ago.

i must say that i start getting the feeling that everything in online poker is rigged lol. i can't understand how it's possible to get in every allin hand ahead and lose half or more of them ok you'll say variance is the answer..for how long? i've been running really much under ev at least since i bought HM2(couldn't track results earlier but i'm sure there wouldn't be any difference).and it's about 350K hands in HM already!

and then you will tell me, but if you believe that why do u keep playing? you are definitely right, i might not continue believing this so firmly. but i really love this game and when i see all these fish being so much worse than me, i can't help myself..

ok enough about whining.

played some turbo micro mtts mostly yday and it was a common sunday for me..lost all of them without getting at least one itm(4-5 in total) and with a cruel way.

1st one was a 2.7ko and lost like this:

25 games played(mix of 0.5$ 45man, 1$ 90man, 0.5$ 90man, 0.1$ 360man and 1.5$ 45man..i played more 90man and 360man this morning cause traffic at stars was low so i had to fill in the gaps with them ♦ - which means greater variance, but ok had some decent results in them also) and 8 itm:

after these i got up to 318(-30$ which i need to return soon)= 288$

i decided to quit playing 0.1$ 360man cause there is nothing to play for till u get at least 3rd-4th so there is no need to mix some of them also.

worst session ever... 25 more games, just 1 itm at 0.5$ 90man at 7th place...

every all in ahead, every all in lost...and considering i mixed in many 1.5$ 45man i am down to 270$ (i sent money to my friend).

so i will leave the 1.5$ 45man aside at the moment and try to get to 300$ on my own..when done with this, i will think of a better table selection approach to reduce loss after bad sessions...probably again focusing on 0.5$ 45man where i have best results and try 1-2 shots at 1.5$ till i stop the 0.5$ and play only 1.5$. but still 30$ to get there so i need to start winning again..

i will stop playing now. maybe go to beach or sth..

but firstly i will read some more of sit&go strategy of collin moshman. some interesting approaches there although not much difference of my own type of play till the page i got..

maybe one more session when i get back from the beach..

one more sessino today, just 19 games though cause there wasn't any traffic and i got bored ( since i haven't slept much too ) . it was a profitable one although i could do much better.

ahh ok i will update for 2 more sessions and go out to drink a beer or sth..

in 1st one i was actually running well till i did some mistakes at crucial spots and was down to 305$.

2nd one was slighlty better in the end although i think i could get more but holdem manager crushed while playing many tables and i had to play according to stacks and blinds only and not depending on my opponents also.i ended up at 309$ which is red cause last pot i had more..

i really think that lack of sleep really affects my game and considering i got a lil drunk yesterday and afterwards slept about 6-7 hours i suppose it's not that bad being break even. let's hope next one i will be fresher and less tired aka more inclined to play and win!

i think it's time to leave and have some leisure time..

finally some pretty good news since i started playing on my own again..

i need to say that a friend of mine lent me once again 30$ and i was financially( according to my rule ) ready for one full 1.5$ and 1$ session. that means that my starting br for today was 339$

i decided to open 22 45man and 3 90man( 1.5$&1$ ) and i could only wish for a good start to maintain myself to this ( 2nd till my start ) level.. results were really good fortunately and i'm more optimistic about poker future ( till tomorrow at least )!

but i won't say anything more..just let results speak 4 me!

sick results right? i know they are not realistic.. my br went up to 396$( 30$ friend's included ) after just one session..

i thought of playing my A game for sure but probably i got luckier than usual this time.. players at this limit are soooo easy to exploit though... if i can win at least half of today's winnings after 1 day's sessions that would be a great start to move even to bigger stakes like the 3.5$ 45man with some 2.5$ 180man shots..a/w i'll let these dreams aside for now and try to beat my limit constantly..confidence is surely high and i'm waiting for my next session!

unfortunately that may come after 2-3 days when i'll have some free time again..my everyday schedule consists of some hours at the beach, many hours out with friends and even more sleeping yeah i am not the workaholic when getting into summer hehe..but these profits may give me some motivation after all..

i've been too lazy to update my blog this last week. sorry for everyone who checks but i can't do long-regular posts during summer at least! so i decided to update only when i have some important changes to write down..

ok some quick updates. i had 4 more sessions this week, started quite bad but i shipped one 90man and now back at 398$. nothing special yet but it's the highest score since playing on my own..

i'm going to the beach everyday also as before.. i'm so glad i'm greek and i live near the see and i can do that every day during summer ♦ there are some too hot days, with temperature around 40 celcius degrees but who cares when at see!

i'm also really close at finishing my 1st ever poker book, i will update soon when done with this..

some negative news.

1) i won't get silver star at pokerstars, not that it would affect my game but i like it more than bronze maybe it's better though cause others will think i'm a real donk and call me with crap hands

2) i will get back to bronze here at PS probably..this means no more article reading unless i play again on 770 soon.. maybe i need to rush and read as many as possible during this month while i'm still silver..

3) this is not about poker.. i'm trying to find a girlfriend who's suitable for me but still no signs of her! yday i met a girl that i hadn't seen her for a long time and didn't know how she was really like.. i mean i had her on fb but it's always different when there is live contact.. she is very interested as i thought she was really ready for anything i would tell her, but i'm not really sure i want to be with her right now..
so girlfriendhunting continues ( maybe i'll change my mind about her sure though ).

it's been almost a month since my last update..so i thought about making a fresh one just to keep in touch till the real grinding(which is coming from october and on).probably one or more updates coming till then but let's sum up any news that may interest followers(show me some support guys )

some non poker news to start with? hmm let me think about it..

i had some vacations to halkidiki last week. nothing special unfortunately as it was meant to be my worst of all these years.. not crowded, no beach bars and parties, nothing at all probably that's because of our country's financial crisis and i should expect that.

back to my daily schedule again and.. i sprained my knee while playing beach-volleyball! great right?? now i need to stay at home for almost a week to recover.i'm relieved that it isn't far worse than this ♠_cool:

i can't think of anything nice at the moment so as u may have imagined so far, my summer is really "great"

regarding poker now..

i've lost silver status here at PS. lol that was sure since i haven't played a single hand last month at poker770 and it's really easy to get back there. i won't play since october also there though since there is no serious reason and it could distract me from my september exams.

i've also lost silver star at pokerstars poker is not my priority during summer(at least this one) and i only play some zoom 6max nl2/5 when i'm bored and have some free time.this also doesn't concern me right now.

my br is at 330$ cause i was unlucky at a staking deal so i lost some of my winnings. also lent some to friends. since i won't grind since october though that's pretty much enough for zoom when that time comes, i will deposit any extra money to start applying to my schedule!

i guess that was a short update just to inform about my bad luck these days
