im going to my local casino for the first time in a couple of days. So i know how much money to take, whats the lowest limits a casino would run?
usually its 0.50 - 1, if its anything like my casino you can buyin from 20 - 100 on these tables, but be warned unless you buyin with atleast 50 you will find it hard. the raises are much bigger in live poker as apposed to online poker. if you have any questions ive played alot of live poker and i will be happy to help you out.
Depends on the casino.
Lowest I've seen was NL100. But mostly the lowest tables were NL200.
ah right ok, i think the casino me and my mates will be heading to is grosvenor if that helps. i'll add you plebpl. I've played some tournaments at local pubs have not done too bad. First one i luckboxed all the way to third! I just fancy trying live cash game poker to see how different it really is!
£1-£1 is normally the lowest at grovenor casinos with £40 min buying, rakes pretty high but people play pretty bad from my very little experience
at the grosvenor i go too as i said the lowest is 50-1 it is however usually 1-1 as everyone has said. in my experience this can get very deep, its been 2k deep at times. but play tight and pick the right spots and youll do just fine.
incase your wondering thats the g casino in portsmouth
yeah i think rake is 10% over weekend period. Dont know how that compares to online sites

10% is pretty much standard for a casino, what you need to look for is what the rake caps at.. for example if you are playing NL100 something respectable would be a 10% rake with 3$ cap. I play with this rake and its very beatable
Heck, you guys are lucky to be playing NL100. In my country, the lowest we get is NL200, and peoples raises are just sick! It's just as if they have an unlimited amount of money in their pockets.
For example, last week I've been to Vienna, and the smallest blinds were 1-1. And people mostly played quite tight. Interesting.

No, this just means that your country is wealthy which is a good thing
yeh, quite often in the 1-1 game at my local casino it gets raised too 10 - 15 preflop
just to clarify im talking about gbp £ which would mean 1-1 is more like 1.6 - 1.6
