NL100 AA facing utg open

your missing a raise in here somewhere. Going to showdown without being all in with your hand and this board has to be costing you money. you must give utg a chance to stack off with KK - JJ here.

Either 3bet pre or raise flop. The fact that you have two aces blocks a lot of Ax combos from villains range, meaning he is more heavily weighted towards pocket pairs that struggle to fold at any point in this hand.

Think he will go broke with anything worse then kk on this flop? I suppose he wont since this borad is so dry, and my range is heavy of sets e.d.
I thought a river shove would be nice. I timetank called and villain showed 77.

The question is where the value is hiding, flop or river..? Pre is std against this guy and as played turn is verry std i suppose

Why would not 3betting AA vs guy you have 34 hands on be standard? If anything, he looks very tight and should have a superstrong range utg so you should be more inclined to 3bet imo.

If you don't raise preflop, then raise flop. If you don't raise this, what are you raising? I think you should expand your valueraising range a bit.

It is just an onorthodox line, in anny case it is not normal to play aa this passively. I suppose i will get a lot of folds preflop since he will give action with a super narrow range. It's true, there are not manny situations in which I like to 3bet a TAGs utg open. Only when im out of position or in multiway pots. I just do this based on my nl25/nl50 experience, which is that you will only get action from kk and sometimes qq. It's just an unexploitable spot imo.

Definitely not a whole other level, I often make the mistake of spazzing when moving up. So don't do that

But I would start to widen my value ranges in general, it's just harder to play against.

I'd 3bet pre flop, he is so tight and raising from EP therefore a really tight range, I'd just 3bet and expect him to play terribly as nits usually/always do. He will not put lots in post flop without a great hand and is ALOT more likely to hero fold KK post flop than he is pre flop and lots f times he will go for passive c/call lines on turns/rivers meaning we lose out on potential value.
