First off, I think I played this hand about as bad as humanly possibly. I think I should have put more pressure on the villain PF and on the flop in order to narrow his range and have a better idea of what he's holding.
The villain is a loose player (65/35 over 100 hands) who almost always raises the BTN (63% steal percentage) but will fold to 3bets. He also likes to call light and often gets it in with hands that are not even close to the nuts.
I'm going to suggest how I think I could've played this hand better and would like some input on what you think is the best play here.
Pf I definitely have to 3bet because I expect to be ahead quite often here and he's raising with such a wide range that he'll fold quite a few hands. If he calls the 3bet I would lead out for near pot on this flop because I think it's a safe flop against the type of hands he could have. If he calls the flop I would fire again on a blank turn but slow down if a spade came. Assuming I fire two streets and he calls both I would check the river and hope for a cheap showdown.
How would you guys prefer to play a hand like this? Let me know.
