What do we do? We have almost 40 percent against his range (TT,8d8c,8s8c,7d7s,7d7c,KJs+,JTs,T9s,98s,87s,AcQc,AcJc,QcJc,AcTc,7c6c,6c5c,KQo), but river will hurt us badly. Check\fold and forget about it? Do you see any other options against standard reg?

Hello Strangelet87,

Welcome to the English NL Hand Evaluation Forum! Hopefully we will see more hands from you in the future. I hope that with our help you can improve your play and as well move up the limits. We will be waiting for the next hands and till that good luck on tables!

You should be asking in first place what's the point of CBetting there? Did the 8 change something in the equity of whilst we CBetting the flop? Was the flop CB for value?

Best Regards.

Flop cb was for value against 9x, straight and flush draws, but on the turn the board became even more coordinated. Surely we can vbet once more, but on the river we'll have a really bad situation when we check (and we surely will check most often), because he can both vbet and bluff very good there. The 8 on the turn definetely improved his range, but we still have like 38 percent.

True that the 8 may help some part of his range. But as we figured that we are value-betting vs 9x/FD and maybe even weaker PPs/floats we should be planning to Bet the turn as well. We still also have ourselves a GS and of course still even fold equity as vs JJ/QQ which could be sometimes some part of his calling range preflop/flop.

Ok, let's say we bet turn. But in such case what do we do on the river? Pray he doeesn't bet I guess. Because if he does, it's a lottery on almost any river card.

Yeah river maybe difficult. But you are assuming that he is calling turn. You are also assuming he's calling turn with lots of draws that he might bluff riv with.

For that we gonna need more information as how often he does fold to CBs etc. Clearly the turn 2nd barrel could be mainly for achieve a free showdown for river. Aka hoping to see him Checking the river.

The same line we could also pick Kx holdings by which we are going to turn our hand into bluff-catcher on the river. So he would also fear bluffing the river in that spot.
