As played, I think you're fine with a river call.
He could think you were C-betting air and his A high is good. He might have a pocket pair like TT or 77 and wants to get paid for it now.
You didn't lose much since he had position but checked behind on the turn and he bet so little on the river...

Hello Imimba1,

Difficult to fold for the given odds. :P So I doubt that there is much to do as he may also value-bet thinly with worse PPs and maybe even try to bluff you off.
