I like your plan. But how do you like a donkbet? I think you are most of the time behind and the only hands you beat are A9 and TT. Only 2 hands aren't much but the pot is very big and I fear that he might check these sometimes so you lose value. He will bet any better hand on the other hand so you gain more by betting.
BU has nearly always 2 overcards and if you get raised on the river you can fold save too as noone will ever raise you here (at least I think so).

Hero checks, CO bets, Button calls, Hero folds.

I don't think I would fold here, 1 in 16 times isn't a lot that you have to win.

I folded after a bet and a call. I think I almost never beat two hands here.

Correct. BU's range is down to overcards by the river but he won't cal that so if he calls he has a better hand like AJ and CO won't bet the river again with overcards as well so you are early always behind (more often than 16 I think).

The donk from CO is usually not a strong hand, more like AK/AQ kind, they still didn't hit. BU might think his AK, or lower pair is good and calls. I know I would call that if I was BU.
