Having just watched Girahs interview, I'm introducing a 2 BI stop loss per limit, so new rules:

Moving up: 20 BI at limit "A" - move up to limit "B" (with 10 BI at new limit)
Stoploss: if hit 8 BI at limit "B" - move back to limit "A" (with 16 BI)
Moving down: if less than 10 BI at limit "A" - move down to limit "A-1" (with 20 BI)

For now, I am including the First aid $250 in my Cash BR, so new BR stands at $386.20 (lost some playing - and running - badly at NL50).

This means, according to the rules above, I will be back to playing NL20 until I've made $113.80...

The above is why we need to be very careful about vetting procedures for coaches on this site. I watched the promotional video in good faith and began to implement his strategies. It is rather clear this guy's bankroll management did not work because otherwise he wouldn't have needed to scam other poker players out of thousands of dollars. Hopefully PS.com removes the videos before they do any more harm.

Needless to say, I won't be following Girah's advice in the future.

EV win rate after 5K hands is around 5bb/100. Mostly NL20. $64.79 needed for shot at NL50 with 10 BI.

And yes I know that goes against what I said in the previous post but I'm impatient. Also after everything I've read my overall impression is that Girah was a very decent, if not excellent, poker player. I'm sure he was not as good as people including himself said he was but I have little doubt that he made tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of dollars from poker before he turned all Prince of darkness on us, and so his BRM may still have some merit...

Just played a 2 tab NL20 session. Spent the first 100 hands and one stack getting reads. Spent the next 50 using my reads to win back the stack and make a small but comfortable profit. Feels good.

Hmmm, this blog has kind of died a bit. Just don't think I can justify fannying around on NL10 at the same time as playing $200 sngs (however much I would like to prove myself as a cash player by rising through the limits). Life's too short, I guess.

I've been dabbling at Zoom a bit recently, just to keep my hand in the cash till (NL10/25/50). Today, I thought I'd return to NL100 and played a few hands on PP. It's the first time I've played this limit in over a year but strangely I wasn't too nervous.

Villain is unkown. He tanked pre vs the big squeeze so I'm only really worried about JJ since I think he's squeezing QQ most of the time himself. Not sure about my line... I think it's ok since by checking we can rep AQ/AK nicely and he might bluff some of his air. When he bets this big there's nothing else but to ch/ship imo. I think he can level himself with 99/88 enough to counter for the times when we're up against JJ.

H2: easy second barrel, no reason to get fancy with c/r IMO. As played on river it's fold pretty much fold IMO. Because of your small cbet they can easily have 5x and 2x there.

H1:

I think that pre is probably a questionnable open from MP unless you have specific reasons.
I would bet a lot bigger on the flop and turn because you can get a lot of value by worse. That will also give you a river shove size left which will be a lot easier to play depending on the timing tells etc...

H2:
CBet Flop and Turn bigger. If you do so I think you can fire the river to get value from Qx.
