Is this call overplaying the big stack?

Known Players:
MP1: 550 - 9 bb
MP2: 915 - 15 bb
MP3: 3050 - 51 bb
CO: 1670 - 28 bb
BU: 835 - 14 bb
SB: 1290 - 22 bb
BB: 1690 - 28 bb

Turn: (1760 - 29.33 bb) J♦ (2 Players)

Plus EV call?

Hello odin444,

Raise to 150 chips is enough. 180chips is also fine but I prefer 2.5BB here. Our hand is not that good and we are always raise/folding.
After villains shoves imo it is better to fold. His range is not wide enough to raise/call profitable. Without information I would raise/call with AQs+, AKo and 99+.

Yeah was thinking about my raise sizing when he shoved on me. Will definitely take it down to 2.5. Cheers for the pointers and your sng videos

Hello,

According to icmizer, this is a +ev call. Even if villain is pushing extremely tight like 11% here, it is still +EV.

Hi,

This raise/call with 22-44, KQo and the low suited aces can't be +EV. Are you sure you calculated it right? Against this range we should raise/call wider but never that wide :f_eek:.

I think villain is restealing tighter here. We are raising to 3BB and he got short stack. He should be pushing tight because he know he got small fold equity.
Most of the time imo he is restealing with AJo/AQo, ATs/AJs, 77+/88+ , KQs/no Kx.
Depend on how wide we put him between this ranges we can raise/call with AQo/AKo, AJs/AQs, 77+/88+(with small+ev but almost break even, so I putted 99+).

If he is restealing wider of course we can call wider and ATs would be +EV. Without information I assume he is restealing with tight range.

the problem here is that 11% is not 'extremely tight' at all, 11% is ridiculously wide!!

(well not ridiculous but definitely not tight)

Hello, you are absolutely correct. I must have made a mistake during the calculations and that gave me an entirely different result.

If villain pushes <8%, A10s is -ev to call and if villain pushes >8%, it'll be a +EV call.
