Hello gentari! I feel like we are in the same boat except I'm 20 years old and you're 40!!!! :f_cool: :f_cool: :f_cool: :f_cool:. But we actually have a lot in common and we are both trying to overcome our flaws.

Do you have SNG wizard or HEM2? These programs can help you a lot and can provide an edge over the casual players at the 1 dollar table. =)

Hi Maythany,

I have HEM1 and Wiz. I have spent a lot of time with Wiz and feel my ICM game is now better than average.

I do find it difficult to shove ICM spots like ATC BvB though, perhaps I should just let it happen more. I just get a crappy feeling when I am called by A7 and show up with 63o :f_eek:

Poker Strategy have been promoting Sidekick and as part of it prizes were being given out for winning hands at tracked sites recorded on sidekick. JJ and 88 were the hands to be seen winning.

Then lucky members were chosen for some cash prizes, I was lucky and got $50 !!!

Information Here !!!

So a post a while back where I was undecided about the benefits of Sidekick CLICK HERE

I have found out that it makes posting hands into the eval forums easy and I have had 2 prizes from it. 1st was the upgrade to Gold Status last month and 2nd is this :f_love:

Not sure how the cash comes (possibly just added to the Poker770 BR), but will be a nice surprise when it does.

I have taken a night off from the Poker770 games. The software was awful again, loading to slowly, stopping me from playing really.

I played about with the PokerStars auto key setup, I am thinking of trialling some sngs stacked using the hotkeys to fold, call, bet etc so I can play a few more tables.

Once I have Gold Status locked up for the month on PStrategy through the Poker770 account I may leave it alone and play Stars until the end on the month.

I did play some 25c 45 Man Sngs and managed a nice profit of $4.60 off 14 games (122% ROI) I actually enjoyed the change. I played reg speed ones and kept tight until the blinds got big, then moved into ICM mode. I probably need to adjust as 6max ICM and 45 man ICM will no doubt have major differences. Was nice to try out for sure.

I also played the zimmers game which was fun as usual. Well done to all who played and made it a lot of fun :)

Mental Game - A

Having a great mental game day but a nagging feeling is creeping up behind me. I am avoiding 6max Turbos... Perhaps I am subconsciously running away from the variance monster instead of confronting it.

Whichever it is I am enjoying my poker at the moment and need to find a way to grind that I enjoy, the iPoker software is just rubbish and I really have to decide what to do for the better, play iPoker for Status points, or ditch it and play on Stars with better software and greater traffic.

Watch this space.

It seems the PS team have a nice way of paying bonuses/prizes straight to Skrill (moneybookers) through the refer a friend system so my $50 prize will go straight to Skrill.

As this almost covers Table Ninja I am going to treat myself and go for some mass stacking volume with Rickie on the micro 45s & 90s.

That will be an aside from this blog, but updates will no doubt appear here from time to time.

As of this morning I have 87 points still to get on Poker770 to maintain my Gold Status here, so I will play a few $1 SNGs each evening until I get TN set up and then its time to push some volume, see if I am as much of a fish as I think I am.

6max Turbos on Stars load at least 10-20/min where on iPoker I am lucky to get 1 every 5 minutes. It is just not worth doing long term.

Will see about things over the next few days...

A day without poker !!!

It was my little girls b/day so I did good old Dad stuff. Built her new bike, built her new dolls house, got the last minute party stuff, went to her party, served coffee/tea at said party, cleaned the place after the party - Snow White came along and helped out too!!!

Then I returned home at 8pm, had some food and pain killers (refers to recent abdominal surgery) got tired and went to bed. <---- for you guys/gals who ar yet to see the dark side of 25 I can imagine 10pm on Friday and bed would only ever involve something energetic, for me I was snoring within 5 minutes

The result however is I am awake at 4am playing Speed Poker on iPoker for some points as no chance a SNG will load anytime soon.

I will say that Speed Poker is pretty fishy at 5nl but a lot of tables ended up short as it could only manage to fill 4 or 5 of the 6 spots. Traffic was that bad !!!

Anyway I think I managed to do pretty well with no cards and or luck losing only 1 stack and that was due to the last hand AJs v KJo where he spiked a K.

It seems my lucky $50 has arrived in Skrill already so will see if I get any time to sort out TNinja soon and get some volume in, but will probably have to wait a while as my little one is having several parties and with family visiting I may end up having to be sociable (not sure it's good form to have my family arrive and bugger off to play poker)

Enough rambling from me, good luck at the tables :f_cool:

Got Table Ninja, looks nice and with auto reg I think a nice run of stacked $1.50s to test it all out is in order, pity I am out until late, but will be time enough in the future :)

If I play 6 tiles is there a way to auto load and put new tables into slots vacated by closed tables ???

I did have a play on some 50c 45mans while building a dolls house and as suspected poker, testing software and building a dolls house resulted in some less than optimal play.

I did like the bubble call with 32o by the chip leader in the BB for 8 BBs v my A3s very funny, pity he got there with a rivered straight pfft :f_mad:

I've got a great picture in my mind of how the doll's house turned out...

Table Ninja (TN) is great, pity I had the settings a little bit off...

I managed to register for 12 $1.50 6max at the same time !!!

Needless to say it didn't end well, but I did get 1 win and 3 2nds which meant the loss was manageable.

I have found out what the issue was and will be playing some nice sets later on.

I really have been doing little or no volume on iPoker, I resolve to play 1 6 table set there every evening until I get the required Status points here, about 75 at last count, then I will oush on with the $1.50 6max at Stars until I have a good feel with TN, then I will return to the $3.50s

A quick note about a Study group I have sorted out on Skype, if you are playing 6max then let me know and we can get a few on the group. Currently there are 4 of us and we as yet have not done any sweats or HH reviews, but will come with time. BI range from $1.50 to $7 games so why not get involved?

Good Luck at the tables

BR: £53.94

Failed pretty much all my goals this week and replaced them with running bad and setting up Table Ninja.

Happy tat the SNG group is getting going too.

iPoker is poor from many angles including traffic obviously, I can't load games at $1 6max in the day so I have been concentrating on Stars and playing the odd games on ipoker in the evening to sort my points out. I think next month I will withdraw and not bother with the Status points. I have spent a long time looking at all the materials and feel I just need volume now - Stars is pretty much the only place to get a game any time.

So I have played a load of 6max onStars and got the shitty end of the stick with variance again, I am not helping myself with bet sizing, passive ICM play and tentative bubble shoving. Resolve those things and I should at least be doing a bit better.

I recorded a video of my session today and have asked the guys in our group to take a look if they have time and let me know if anything obvious comes up :)

I am also having a session with Tim64 this evening to look at my play and see where my leaks/idiotic plays are.

My mindset is fragile to say the least, I am not getting the rub of the green at all: -40.6% ROI (ev -9.8%)

But I will plug away at it. I can't wait for my run good - it's gonna be BRILLIANT !!!!

I have had enough.

This is my month playing a lot, getting coaching and doing all the good things. Fuck that. Time to go read a book or watch a movie.

Playing 6max on Poker770 for points and doing some other stuff to keep me amused on Stars and watching more PS Materials.

I am not grinding 6max for a while as I am not in the correct frame of mind at all. I am playing some fun games with no pressure on me. I want to enjoy my poker :f_grin:

This morning I played 3 $1 6max on Poker770 taking 1 win, I will not play anymore on there today and see what the points total is for those 3 games. I suspect playing 4 a day should get me Gold Status each month, not exactly a hard grind that.

Have Fun :P

If you feel like playing some easy games, reg for the 1.5 KO´s on Stars haha. I'm pretty sure 75% of the player pool have no idea what ICM is.

And even though I play 9man's, is there a place for me in your sng study group?

Goodluck on the tables :)

What a fun time I have had...

Been playing some $0.50 45 man turbo games and found out I quite like them. I wanted to practice stacking and playing a good volume so I have been playing 16 table stacked sets with additional tables being added as I bust.

Now I have never got on with a huge amount of tables or stacking for that matter, but what the hell I thought.

I managed to play 37 today with a 28.6% ROI which was good for ~$5.00, yesterday I played 20 with a 76.3% ROI, good for ~$7.50.

57 games in 2 days with a nice ROI and some $$$s back in the BR, but more than that I actually had fun too. I managed to win a couple and get a few ITM finishes, even though the suckouts were still there, AA, KK x2 and QQ to exit games with countless mid pairs and AK, AQ hands, but it isn't important, the payouts are big at the top end so a few final tables more than makes up for the unjust exits :f_grin:

I am not sure I am happy to drop 6max, but these MTSNGs are making me enjoy playing again so perhaps I need to think hard about what I can do.

Sorry 6mx has been so cruel to you lately. There's nothing like trying something new to re inject the fun back into poker.

Best wishes for the KOs!

Tim
