I knew that if villain called I am behind all the time, but I'm wondering if this was a necessary -EV shove?

Hello maythany,

If villain is calling with more than ~25% of the hands than our push is -EV. Depends on your observations you should judge what kind of range he would call and is it profitable to push.
I personally would fold and push with ~50-60% of the hands. T5o is to weak to push Imo.
