The more i was thinking of that situation the more i believe you re right. Sometimes i got a fold from hands i m already in front of. He gave good odds to call and get my flush, an overcard, or my gutshot. I could certainly get more value then. And he might give up river but at the same time i don't know is Wtsd and won't know if i should bet river in case it's a blank to get a fold from a T. So i should certainly ch.

So it's been a while since i ve been writting. I m still playing a little amount of table at the same time. Less than 9 which is great even if i thought that was going to be boring cause of lack of action. Actually it's not the case as i quite take more information on every hand played.

Today we will try to get something out of a player i try to coach. We played few hands together. Here are some statistic.

Pretty far from my own stats. But still what could we say ? He is pretty nitty preflop which is not a real problem. Just a different kind of game with strong range. That's usually means that he should be more aggressive as his perceive range is much more turn to the nuts. And we could see that his river aggression frequency is pretty low. So i would certainly advice him to find some spots where he should have barrel on the river. He might miss some value or bluffing spots.

I m also worried about his 3bet range. It's quite low especially in position. The problem of those kind of 3betting range. Nobody is going to go broke light against you so he's not going to get a lot of value from his premium. And as he 3bet more from blinds people could call profitably in position with sc or pocketpair. We would get enough value when we hit cause he might never fold overpair or tptk.

As a lot of nitty player we can also get a lot of money stealing his blind as he fold 88% which is huge. Easy to bet 2x anyto from BTN SB or even CO depending on the table with him in blinds.

He is also not folding enough to 3bet. And if we mix that with is open range from CO and BTN 26% and 41%. I will certainly merge my 3bet range from blinds vs those positions and BTN vs CO.

I won't almost never call a donk from this kind of vilain. 6% scream setmining hits !

He bet a lot in position we should certainly change our line and go for a ch/c ch/r from time to times instead of bet / bet / bet. Might be interesting to see how he reacts.

That's pretty much it at the moment. Feel free to correct or ad stuff you think relevant. I will try to extract some hands which went at showdown.

I find it very interesting that with such low 3bet he also has a high fold to 4bet. I guess, he does resteal a bit wider from blinds, but never 5bet bluffs or widens his 5bet value range against certain villains.
Also he folds to turn bets fairly often.

Playing against him I would steal a lot, cbet a lot of flops and barrel good turns.

As PFR I could ch/c more with medium streght hands as he bets a lot when checked to and folds a lot when bet into.

Also when villain PFR raise some flops and see on wich textures he folds the most.

3bet wider mostly IP as he does not fold very much, but will probably play fit/fold post OOP.

4bet more bluff heavy range against resteals from blinds and sometimes call 3bets with premiums, at this points he has 100% cbet in 3bet pot, so we get more money by calling than 4betting and getting him to fold.

A6hh 3bet hand: vs such a high fold to 3bet Qhi flops are probably the worst you can find to double. AQ, KQ, QJs, QTs, JJ-88.

When it comes to the stat analysis: his fold to 3bet is not that low given how tight he is. Hes folding way too much vs cbet - specially with such a strong range & image as you said. 40-50% is closer to gto.
