i use always drugs when i go to play nothing wrong with that.
imo malta , costa rico, thailand are best players and al other country's are mostly bad.
canada did good job overal after black friday to be toucher because lot of good american go grinden there.
And belgiums are lol bad.

It's because the government has restricted the "gambling" society. Poker can't develop itself and the only way to play poker is at the casinos (and there aren't too many, I think only 3 or 4 in the whole country). There are no local home games

Interesting that other baltics are not on the list, maybe we are really making a mark in the poker world. But the grinder phenomenon here is easy to explain: low income = no money to burn. 40$/h poker win rate is nothing spectacular but it still twice the average salary... And half pro poker player should earn as much (I guess more, much more) as 10 years worth of uni training.

Can't agree more, specially what you write about greeks. Every greek person I have seen playing poker have been horrible, not even 1 good player during millions of hands I have played online.

Agree, but there are so many russians that you also will find a lot great player, but mostly I agree.

I also disagree here, back in the days when the americans could play they seemed pretty weak, but it's a long time ago so I guess I don't have enough data/memory to say your wrong.
I just wanna add scandinavians, they (we 
) seem to be one of the stronger places the players come from, but because of the high living expenses and high taxes most top pros move to other countries, but I would still say strong LAG players would be common to see at the tables imo.
There's definately a lot of truth to the stereotypes posted above. I think there's a group of Greek regs coming through though, now Cyprus on the other hand is a different matter entirely.
Has anyone seen a guy from Cyprus with a VPIP under 50%?, I very much doubt it ♦
