You can add me to your race, I'm at only 22k VPPs![]()
That had to be 'creep joke'. Like when you say something to be nice and 'creep' keeps reminding you that pushing to do something ♦
Always loved a couple blog. ♦
I play the $3.5s for fun whenever I don't feel like grinding CG. And I love it! A couple of questions if you don't mind me asking,
1) How many games is considered a good sample?
2) Are they any specific beginner strategy articles/videos you can recommend?
I saw the basic strategy on your previous pages, and I like the min-raising part. It works like crazy ![]()
Will be following!
1) 5k (edit: not really good sample, but you can start making some assumptions)
2) not on pokerstrategy, sorry
i am probably not allowed to refer you to other training site.
Its nothing crazy, it simply works great against micro stakes population tendencies and is very easy to utilize
Sigh, haven't updated in a while cause my volume has been absolutely pathetic but Zilltine keeps telling me I should update so I'm hopefully gonna try and post here on a more consistent basis, Right now I'm ridiculously behind pace, and wayyyyy behind Zilltine, but I'm going to try and start sitting 60s and hopefully the new challenge will motivate me to play more and I might still have a shot at catching Zilltine ( although right now I think I'm just gonna have to beat him to sitting 100s to have a shot at this :p)
Heh, just realised it's the first of the month, so seems somewhat appropriate to post monthly goals to start the month, and hopefully a revived blog, off right. So, May Goals:
- Play 200 hours
-Study 30 Hours
- Get better at coaching
-Settle in at 60s
- Be closer to Zilltine in VPPs at the end of the month
Ok, we forgot to show some love for spartacus

Update: Volume has been lol, monthly goals are pretty much a write off at this point, but w/e, kinda expected that from the start. At this point though I really need to start to get my shit together and get into a good routine with work/study and start putting in decent volume, I'm gonna be finished with my degree at the end of the month, and with no intention of getting a job right now, i'm fucked unless i start putting in some consistent volume. 60s are a jump from 30s for sure, main difference is just fucking sharky and the amount of other regs , waitlists and time between games is pretty ridic, iirc i've been getting 12 games/hr 1 tabling so getting in real volume is hard, sigh
Garf for the month so far:

Ok guys, Cory brought this epic gif and that gif suits so many things.
Some Post on 2p2Well, i think that op is folding KXs, QXs, weak Ax to open shoves, which he could reshove himself. Im not much into numbers, but just from practice i think mr/c is better here.

Skype chat:
[1:01:43 AM] zilltine: are you saying that it is better to play when you money scared?
[1:02:01 AM] Xxx: For me I found it better to play when money matterred more

[6/16/2013 5:42:28 PM] XyX: the way it's played you should def fold
[6/16/2013 5:42:36 PM] XyX: you'll still have 15 bb's

from HH discussion:
"you get the same info with lower sizing"

Coming to think of it, that gif is horribly appropriate for this thread. This must have been the most lethargic race ever to have taken place, neither one of us has put in the effort that we should have up until now, and this thread/blog/whatever you guys call it on this site, has suffered as a result. Anyway, with Zilltine now finished with his Job and playing poker full time, and I'm now finished University and playing full time, I think it's a good time to kickstart this thread again and start updating. ( Also golden sng's next week so, grind time ♦ ).
For now my focus isn't on putting in volume, i don't want to have narrow goals like that or be too focused on one element of poker, I still have a lot of work to do on improving my game, I don't want to play 60s forever and as I move up into higher stakes games then I need to work on certain things and remain dilligent in my studies. I've also started coaching and I want to continue to work on improving my game, and my coaching practices so as I can offer my students the best possible advice, and help them as much as possible, so far I've managed to move 2 of my guys from 15s and into 30s ( with one more hopefully following soon ) and I'm seeing them have pretty solid success overall since I started working with them, which I have to say is pretty fucking rewarding, there aren't many ways in poker that we're able to give back, so being able to help people improve and get better is very rewarding, and I've found, a lot of fun. So, as of right now, I'm a 22k vpp for the year ( wayyyy behind SN pace ), and SN is not among my top priorities, hopefully i'll still make it though. But my main focus will be on trying to be more balanced, playing solid volume, continuing to work on my game, and help my students to improve and moving them up.
Finally passed the pokerstrategy quiz to get free $20 br and bronze status. Proudest day of my poker career, that quiz has haunted me for the last 4 years since I've never been able to pass it. ♦ ♦ ♦

and i call you master of poker theory...
Heh, surprsised to see Zilltine hasn't updated the thread with his recent escapades, hope he'll get to it, i want to see graphs and cool hands. Poker has been going pretty poorly for me recently, poor results leading to low motivation leading to poor volume leading to prolonged poor results leading to even less motivation. Results so far this month:

poor volume, poor results, poor show all around. Goal from now until the end of the month is of course mostly just to get out of this rut, focusing on playing my best, making my best better and also starting to be more professional in my approach to the game, following a good schedule, being consistent and having good playing habits, making sure to mark hands and study properly every day. So hopefully I can achieve that.
