It would be great if you could expand a bit on what your actual ranges are in the spots discussed. One example: while discussing your riverplay with 99, you made a point about only being able to bluff here with hands like 77, which doesn't account for many combinations. How do you play 33, 55, 45s and AhJh, AhTh? I'd assume you get to the river with these as well (they all have better equity against Villains turnbettingrange than 77), so you could get to the river with a wider bluffingrange theoretically.
I'd also be interested to know how your flopplay would be overall vs Villain in the QQ hand. QQ is a great hand to bluffcatch, because you block so many valuebetting combinations (you mention this) - does this mean you would play a set of 3s differently against described villain (if you somehow happen to 3bet it, which doesn't seem to be the best of ideas)? Do you plan on check/deciding 3 streets with hands like AQ here as well (or AA if you wouldn't 3bet AQ)?Great video, keep up the good work

As for your comments, generally in spots like this where the large majority of my bluffcatching range has similar equity vs his range(77 has ~30%, 88 has ~32%, 33 has ~32%, 55 has ~34%, AhJh has ~29%, AhTh has ~29%, 45s has 38% vs a range of 88+,44,22,AKs,AhQh,AhJh,AhTh,A6s,KhQh,KhJh,Kh9h,QhJh,QhTh,JhTh,Th9h,8h7h,76s,AKo range) , I will decide on my turn calling % (this decision will be made based mostly on his bet-sizing and flop/turn/river cbet stats but also specific ranges/tendencies), and then select combos to fit into that % based on a) equity and b) blockers (I will choose hands that block as much of his value-range as possible; in this hand they are mostly irrelevant). In this case, if I assume my flop calling range is something like 80% of my nutted hands (1.6 combos of 65s, 1.6 combos of 67s, 1.6 combos of 68s, 2.4 combos of 22, 0.8 combos of 66), all pairs I didn't 3bet (24 combos of 33,55 and 77-99), 44 (3 combos), A2s (3 combos) and all Ax suited with a BDFD (3 combos of ATs, 3 combos of AJs, 3 combos of A3s, 2 combos of A4s, 3 combos of A5s) then that's 52 combos. On the turn, I would set a number in my head of how much I should be calling % wise, and then go down the list of my best blocker'd, highest equity bluffcatchers to call with and arrive at that calling % (obviously the more you slow-play flop, the less you should call with your turn bluffcatchers, but that's another topic entirely and I don't really wanna get into it). In this case, if I decided I wanted to call 40% (arbitrarily chosen number - deciding on actual turn calling %'s is complex because it depends on board texture and how much equity villain's range has; the number would be higher if he were betting turn very frequently and lower if he were betting turn very infrequently), I would not call 77, because I only need to call 20.8 combos, and 33/55/45s/AhTh/AhJh (all of which have more equity vs his turn betting range) + some % of my 44/22/6x (whatever % I decide to slow-play turn with) is enough to account for that. If he was betting turn a lot, and I wanted to call 60% instead, then I would add 11 combos of my next highest equity bluffcatchers. So yes, you're right, I do probably arrive at the river with a wider bluffing-range theoretically ![]()
For the QQ hand, my strategy vs him would involve checking over 90% of flops in general (due to his high bet when checked to stat; >75%) and playing all of my strong hands (Qx+) similarly to QQ, although as you said, QQ is probably the single best hand to play this way, and AA, specifically AdAx is probably one of the worse (I would still play it the same though vs him). Given his high turn/river cbet stats, my general strategy to exploit him would probably involve c/fing quite a few flops, c/ring flops infrequenty, and then seldom c/fing turn/river; I'd raise my fold to flop cbet to ~55-70%, lower my flop c/r to ~6% (balanced range of ~4% value and 2% bluffs) and then lower my fold to turn cbet to ~25-30% and my fold to river cbet to ~20-25%. Obviously, if he were smart, he would re-adjust by raising his cbet stat to ~85-95% and lowering his turn/river cbet stats to <20%, although he didn't seem like the thinking type so I didn't really think this would happen.
