SB checks, Hero bets $0.40, SB raises to $1, Hero raises to $3, SB raises to $82.02 and is all-in, Hero calls $16.60 and is all-in

Turn: ($40.20) 9:c (2 players, 2 are all-in)

My answer: T6o
He asked why?
Answer: Habit.

I think a better answer would be:
To avoid tense situations post flop where you feel you have to risk your stack on a hand that isn't the nuts

If villain had NOT shoved, he could have had the pot when the second pair hit.

As it is, I almost folded, and when I called I expected to see JT
I only called because I realized that there are a lot of draws and sets he could have here

So the question is:
Was the call spewy & lucky, or well played me?
