yes, game theory optimal play.
i agree that if villain folds over 60%, then a preflop raise is automatically profitable with every hand, even 27o.
but that's not gto, that's just adaptation. if villain realises we're doing this, he can re-adapt and exploit us by folding less. so it's not un-exploitable...

or maybe you were actually concentrating on the other side: the fact that: if you fold >60% from BB, that you are then exploitable(not optimal) and villain can start opening 100%. with that i agree, but it doens't really say what is unexploitable, it just says that folding >60% is exploitable.

btw, please don't take my posts in some negative way, people often think take my posts as attacks, but they're really not.

The awesome moment when you own the "reg" that got you a few nights ago. You remember that guy that 3bet a lot and was very aggresive? I crushed him for 5 Bis and it was no luck (well, not mostly, luck is always involved).

PS: I don't think he's a reg anymore, he plays stupidly aggressive, with 100 cbet, it's just too easy to play against him.

Don't worry, any feedback is welcomed. How else we'll be able to improve? =) I like strategy thoughts and ideas.

What you say makes sense. Do you have any GTO thoughts on HU?

I just got bashed by what seems to have been a good regular. After dropping 3BI's to him, I decided he wins and I stopped the match. Besides not being sure of where my profit will come longterm vs him, I also lost on my SH tables 2BIs, so I knew I'm not on my best game anymore.

Villain OR 100% to 2BB, cbet like 70% of the flops always 1/2 pot. When barreling he always bet pot.

Twice he made some nice overbets, always with close to nuts, or nuts. I might just have learned a nice spot to overbet 2* pot if I have an aggressive image.

He owned me overall because I didn't have any idea of how to play him. But I don't think his edge is big on me and if one coinflip I would have won I would have probably played him more and kick his ass after figuring out his strategy

This hand:

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.50(BB) Replayer
($105)
Hero ($76)

Hero posts (SB) $0.25

Dealt to Hero A♦ K♦

Hero raises to $1, raises to $3.50, Hero raises to $10, raises to $23, Hero raises to $76 (AI), calls $53

FLOP ($152) 7♦ 2♥ 2♣

TURN ($152) 7♦ 2♥ 2♣ J♥

RIVER ($152) 7♦ 2♥ 2♣ J♥ J♣

shows T♥ T♦
(Pre 54%, Flop 73.1%, Turn 86.4%)

Hero shows A♦ K♦
(Pre 46%, Flop 26.9%, Turn 13.6%)

wins $151

I started to 4bet him a bit more often and now he could also have been trying to 5bet bluff (which I'm not sure if he is capable of doing, as this is the only spot like this).

... But I will probably not playing him again very soon, as playing another reg especially at NL50 would be suicide because of the rake.

Knowing and experiencing a bit of PLO and also playing HU I think really upped my hole understanding of the game at a very high level. I improved this year till now and last part of last year a lot IMO. And I'm not saying this because I'm on a upswing, I'm not on an upswing.

In some sessions of PLO on a stretch of almost 1K hands I didn not hit strong almost any flop and I realized how rare people actually hit the flop. In NLHE it should be way less often then in omaha.

HU got my hand reading crazy high. I can feel the power :f_cool: ! And I'm developing the ability to adapt to certain patterns in any villains game and to masterfully plan how to get the most from the situation I'm in.

Once again, I really enjoy playing HU. I never liked to play poker as much as I do with HU. It's like a drug.

I also started to play FR and SH, I play all 3 formats at the same time if are good tables.

I feel like a more complete player now, one that is going to conquer the poker world very soon :f_love:

The only piece missing I think is that I don't have rl pokerbuddies that play at least as high as me. I think this would be so cool. I still have the idea of a pokerflat deep written in my mind, I hope this year it will materialize.

PS: I really wanted to share with you the video from above, but I had to write something so I put down some thoughts :P

I'm building, that's what I'm doing :f_cool: hi

I will probably post a bigger post next month. Not much to say right now, I will leave you with this song for now.

PS: HU still rocks!

Milestone

I have evaluated professionally over 1000 hands in the Romanian community as a Judge.

February I kind of slacked off with poker. Today I have a break then tomorrow my journey to NL400 continues.

Where are you playing now? Didn't keep track, you were looking to switch from 888 and played on Poker Heaven?

I'm playing on PokerHeaven, NL50. I would play 6max, but at NL50 there are not so many 6max tables, only 5max and I don't really like playing 5max, so I play HU and FR for NL50 then @NL100 I will go volume with 6max.

No, I'm not dead _biggrin: I am just more active in the Romanian community right now.

In march I took a poker break, I just had fun and enjoyed myself. I came back with a new kind of energy and love for the game. All my poker goals are still on!

I also am able now, or getting close to, balancing poker with the other pleasures of living. This way poker is so much more fun.

Love you all!

Hey, I don't have an objective in mind with this pots, I just want to say hi. Hi! :f_biggrin:

I am now mostly active in the romanian community. But lately I did post a few things in the english community so I guess I will index my posts here:

NL50 SH anon table
(mbml was spot on. I had Jc8c and villain had A high flushdraw - I bet the turn/villain called, river went check-check.)

NL100 - Tripple barrel bluff ones again

I have evaluated professionally over 1000 hands in the Romanian community as a Judge.

Over 2000 now.

Over 3000 evaluated hands.

Playing 50NL with enough BR for shots at 200NL :f_cool: I have more than enough to play 100NL. I won't play it though until I resolve some preflop situations. I had two unsuccessful shots at 100NL these 2 last months.

April graph:

Spoiler

Enjoy!
