from logical perspective they should be selling extremely expensive licenses to foreign operators and allowing land-based casinos to open online businesses to get some money (which they did it seems).

Similar thing happened in Estonia a few years back - all Internet providers were forced to put a soft block for accessing online gambling sites without license in Estonia, so there is only pokerstars left along with an ipoker and a microgaming skin. Unless you know how to set up your DNS and internet connection properly. ♠_cool:
