Sunday was my free day. I was thinking about my game and I think I spotted few things I can improve. I couldn’t check it because today I can’t play poker nor use HM. I waste most of my day playing on Warcraft. I think I wanted to feel that I am crushing everyone after those loses at poker. I haven’t play in Warcraft for a looooong time but I am still much better than average person. I find out that poker changed the way I think in my whole life. I don’t improve only my poker thinking process, I improve the way I think in real life as well. Even in computer game I think in different way, I was adapting all the time. Opponent was changing his strategy so do I. I lost skill because I didn’t practice it for so long but I think I am better than I used to be because I just adapt better. I try to adapt all the time, like in Heads up. I am very glad that I changed Short Handed to Heads up. It put more pressure on me, it’s much harder to me it’s harder to don’t do spazzes to stay calm and to play relaxed but it’s definitely worth it. Even if it’s hard now I think it will get harder but if it’s the price I need to pay, that’s fine, I am ready for it. I’ll learn how to deal with more and more shit.

Today I am thinking too much about everything and that’s why I decided to write something. It should help clear my mind. Those free days are good because I can think about poker in different way than usual. I find more problems that I wasn’t aware of. I think I rest while I work because after this free day I am more tiered than usual. I want to go to sleep because I know tomorrow I’ll wake up and do my job then it’ll be easier to rest. I am so fucking tiered doing nothing it is only one day but I am exhausted.

I have great gym. Most of members are huge. One third of them have tattoo and / or scars. I was thinking why I don’t see too many small / fat guys there but now I think I know now. It’s simple. When skinny guy join a gym when almost everyone lift 3-4x time as much as him, nearly everyone have more than 10cm in biceps than he is, he’ll feel mega bad with himself and he’ll quit easier. It’s funny that after two years at gym I feel mega small and weak, still I love it. At old gym big guys were lifting 150-180 and average was 90-100 kg on deadlift I was lifting 120kg and it was great for me, I was above average and I felt great. Now average guy here lift 120-150kg and those big lift 200kg+.

Nobody hides than he’s on steroids. They are making fun about themselves about steroids in front of everyone. I’ve heard that one guy was stupid because he should use metanabol and not winstrol. I’ve heard about steroid on my old gym (coaches thought I was taking them and I don’t want to tell them) but never in front of everyone. I am glad they take them, I am glad most of guys have 40cm+ in biceps there. Because even if I don’t want to take steroids I’ll work my ass of there. I prefer to be worst from best than best from the worst. Anyway when I am worst at something my ego hurt and I work harder. I know that I won’t be as huge as them without steroids but I don’t care I can use my ego to gain some nice muscle and improve my appearance.

4th lossing day in a row. Today I handled it great. Said twice or three times "fuck" and this is all. I felt frustrate a bit when I had two guys who was raising every flop and 3beting a lot, they were playing with me at the same time. Today I handled everything great. I finded out that most of my job on my mindset I did outside of poker table. That's why I decided that I'll rewatch every table where I lost cash. I'll watch every hand on those tables. I spoted some mistakes I made. Usually it's not a big problem when you're running good or normal but when you running bad you need to focus on every mistake you made. I have two choice I can bitching that I am running bad or I can use those bad run to work more on my game away from the table. Of course I'll chose second option becasue first doesn't change anything. I am watching again Gordon's course I'll make some new notes and I'll find out what I am doing wrong.

PS. I got email from mail list with title: "It will pass". It seems promisingly :)

Yupi! Winning session!

Those guys today was fucking insane. They didn’t let me go. I had a plan to play 3h session and make a break, long story short I’ve been playing for ~420 min… I had run for life to fridge to grab chuck steak and some rice to eat. I didn’t prepare anything to eat because I didn’t want to play for soooo long….

Sometimes I wonder how the fuck I can eat sooooo much I came back from gym and ate 300-400 gram of chuck steak with 3 bags of rice. After that I fall down at bed and fall asleep for nearly an hour. Waked up and went to grind. I think I need to work out a bit softer…

I’ll definitely give up on those shit from market. I don’t eat junky food buy when I moved out I used to buy prepare meat. It’s less tasty, less healthy and more expensive. This is second time when I bought raw meat and did something on my own. It’s much more tasty, it’s healthier and I feel much better after it. It takes some time but for fuck’s sake it’s even enjoyable. I like doing it and I’ll definitely do it more often. It will help me gain some weight. Soon I’ll try doing something fancy :)

I am very happy today because I went back after tilt, play solid and won some more money. I wanted to do a break but then I saw Gordon movie from his tilt free course and go back to playing, here's the outcome:

One of exercise was to write down 10 things that you complain about. I wrote down 3 things and have problems to write something more. I was searching something on my blog, I spotted two more things and gave up with searching something new. Anyway I am going to do exercise he gave in his course. Since today I am making a "Stop Whining Bitch challenge" I won't complain or write complains in next 10 days. I am not allowed to complain out loud or write bad beat stories for ten days. If I fail I’ll start this exercise again. I am not count a trash talk or swearing as a complains, it’s a hobby of mine and somehow I like it :)

btw made my day:

Guys from mindset group told me to install rescue time to have data how much we are working. I haven’t seen those data until today. This is how it looks like after 4 days:

Stop Whining Bitch challenge day first. Today I was complaining three times. Two times to myself and once via skype. I start again tomorrow. I didn’t realize how often I feel the urge to complain until this challenge. I was watching next part of Gordon course and from today on I won’t look at EV graph. I have few reflections why it’s bad. First of all it don’t give me any advantages. When I am above I am afraid it will end and I am not happy about my winning sessions. When I am below I make excuses to not work hard on my game. Eg. When I lose 3 BIs and I am 3 BIs under EV I think session was fine and I don’t look hard to find my leaks. When I am above I am afraid when I below I pissed so why they f.ck I should use it? I don’t know that’s why I deleted bb EV and EV winnings from my HM.

I am working on my accumulated emotions. I am testing two routines from elite athletes training. It improve regeneration of body. I am strongly believe that most physical problems come from mind. It’s called psychosomatic and I believe it works both ways. That’s why I try to get rid of mindset problems by improving my body regeneration. I’ll write more about it later on. Let’s say after 2 months of testing it. If it will improve my performance I’ll share it with you guys. Today I had tilt I even wasn’t aware that I threw few things. I founded it later on, on the floor. I think I didn’t spew money because my tilt wasn’t big, tomorrow I’ll find out.

Graph for today:

PS. New chapter of Champions stand up one more time is available. This chapter include me :)

@Raskolnikov
My aunt who live in Germany told me what kind of jokes they have about Polish people.

@WillyD
Yeah I think it will work great. Today I am happy that I don't see it because I did a lot of work away of the table because of my outcome.

It’s kind of funny that today I spend 5 hour on playing poker and 10 hours on poker total. I was watching Gordon’s video. I was building ranges with poker stove and doing Session Review from today game. With mindset exercise and writing goals it’s something like 12h. I can’t play because I had stop lose. I thought about few things and I know that I waste a lot of the time on learning in a wrong way. I’ll make a few fundamental change in my learning process. I am glad I found it out because now I can learn it different way and save a lot of the time. It is more boring way but it seems it’s more effective. I had few ideas from blog of one of good Polish PLO players. Champion is champion no matter what he play. I’ll write about more about changes latter on. First I need to test them and see how good they are. I didn’t complain today out loud or on the skype. Still I complain sometimes in my mind but I try to cut it. First challenge is only about speaking and writing maybe I’ll change it when I’ll try to do it once again in the future. Today I am very glad from my session. I handled it great and I didn’t find bigger mistakes in my game. Outcome looks like that:

Still it’s one of better session I had in a long time. I am probably a lot under EV. From 6 all ins preflop I won one flip. Lose 3 times when I was ahead eg AJs < KJo, QQ <88 and AJs < QJ or something like that. It doesn’t matter I don’t see EV line so I don’t give a damn fuck about it.

Thanks I'll. With BRM it really depend how comfortable you are with BR and how big your edge is. You can start from 100BI rule. If your ego don’t have problems with going down when you run like shit, you can go up faster. The more you have the less you tilt. It really depend from your personality.

Guys from mindset group are crazy. They want to improve their productivity… Because of that I needed to stop wasting time while using PC. I love competition so I don’t give them win with me easy in challenge called “who will have more productivity”. I stopped wasting my time on PC I almost only working because of that I go out more than I used to. I need to start “stop whining bitch” challenge once again. I was swearing soooooo much today

Hi there,

just watched the vid 'Champion Stand Up One More Time Than the Rest: 50NL Heads Up Review with Pavel' and i liked it a lot.

Have to say that i have been lazy for a few months and only have been grinding a lot but i lost my focus on the learning part.
In the end of the video i heard that any1 with proper motivation could ask for some help to improve, and i want to ask right that :)

Myself: I started playing poker about 2,5 years ago. Lost some in the beginning (no BRM and playing rush NL25 as a startoff) but quicky turned into a winning player on that stake. Went broke 3x because in tilting modes i would go to 400nl rush..
After FTP closed when i was playing about a few months i tried 24 tabling at stars but didnt like it and went to HU NL50 with a roll of 1k.
From there it went really well and every month i moved up a stake untill NL600. I do allmost only bumhunt though.

After some months i had my first 20k month and quitted my job. The period untill there i spended like 30 hours a week playing and 30 hours studying (vids/articles/analisations of my own game and discussing hands).
After i went pro i started playing like 60-80 hours weeks but didnt study much anymore. Only discuss hands and sometimes view other guys playing HU.
From there on my monthly profits went down with about 2k a month. When it reached 6k a month i dicided to quit poker and get a 'relaxing' job. I noticed that i had asked a lot from myself and that i was well on my way towards a burnout (played many times beyond my boarders and stressed about my profits a lot). I did feel sad about this beacause i do have the belief that i'm quite good at poker, but i couldnt handle it anymore psychologicaly.

Anyway's i went working but that sucked big time, much more stress then with poker. Meanwhile i started to meditate which helps me a lot and im much more myself again. After a month on the job i quited and turned back to poker (1 month ago now).
I want to do thing in a new way, play only when i feel like it (this results in like 40 hours a week on the good times when there are more fish) and my goal was to start study again. Problem with the last thing is that i dont have to much to study anymore or i'm not getting helped very much by it. Because of that i thought of the idea to go back towards the english comunity 1 more time and now that i have seen the vid ask you guys for help :)
I have the idea that i play pretty okay but i do have problems playing weak regs, agro fish who play very good postflop and playing like vs guys who dont fold at 3bets and when i 3bet them light what to do postflop..

Anyway just let me know if we all can help eachother out in some way :)

Hi Koen :)

Gordon told that if you will have post every day for 60 days you can just let him know, best via email. If you have any proposition with me just let me know here or on priv.

Today I had day away from poker. I don’t feel rest or something like that. I think I need to learn how rest in those days. 90% of time I was away from home and I think it was good idea, still I don’t feel any difference.

Last week I’ve been working on poker and mindset for 9.5-12 hours a day. This week will be more relaxing. I need to get tan a bit I was working too much at home and I get ashen. I work for 2 hours on my leaks every day. I'll work here for few weeks:

Playing is more comortable at home but when you are learning something new. Searching for leaks it doesn't matter that much. Today I was complaining again. This 10 days without complaining is harder than I thought. Ipoker frezze my account for 6-7 days and they send me back emails that they can’t do anything with it. Today I send them a lot of swears. I told them if shit like that are soooooo hard for them I don’t see any point to play on their poker room and I added few more swears. Two hours latter somehow my account was working. It's sad that sometimes you need to be aschole or they won't give damn fuck about you.

Tried to spend less time on poker but forgot about it and again did more work then I tried to do:

I am working away of the table on my cbeting habit because on autopilot I cbet 100% boards vs every enemy. I think it will take two weeks or something but I need to work on my biggest leaks. Total time on poker today 9.5h. I didn’t complain, it’s a great success!!!!

One guy on different forum asked me how I spot my leaks. I’ll copy my answer because it may help someone.

I am happy enough that I have soooooooo many leaks it’s not a problem for me to find something to work on.
I am aware of my leaks because:
1) I do voice notes while playing, if I get pissed I make a note why (most of those things are mindset leaks that I am working on away from table but some of them are poker leaks because I don’t know how to adapt and that makes me tilt)
2) I do SR every day and I write down my leaks to doc file. I can easily spot what leaks are most common
3) While playing if I have problems with something, (Think a lot about something I mark a hand or write a note) after that I search in HM those spots
4) If I am not sure some hands sometimes I use filters in HM and see how those hands were played. Last time I spot that I lost 1.3k $ in pots where I didn’t hit a pair and board was connected. I am sure I could save a ton of money even that was small spots.

If you do a sessionreview daily, which hands do you review? which pots in bb are the smallest you review?

Also a nice blog, very impressed by your goal settings and the will to reach them!

Keep the motivation up, it will pay off!

Thanks I’ll :)

Searching leaks: I had losing streak, 8 losing days out of 11. If you lose that much you start to searching everything. I was just randomly using different filters. When you use filters you can see how much you lose on something. Eg cbeting w/ nothing on connected boards cost me let’s say 7bb. It’s not that much but when I use filter on it, it shows me that I lost 1200$ because of that. I see all hands everyday 20bb>, some mark hands. Sometimes I watch all my hands on table or two. I make notes, I think should I min raise here, fold here or 3x raise, and why. Should I cbet here and why, etc.

I am sick, my head is killing me and was complaining a lot. Those bitches from Polish government give taxes on flopzila…. I pay 30% more for e-books because of the. With flopzila is the same… price of flopzila is 45$ and with taxes it’s something like 60$.....

Head is really killing me. Because of that I decided that today I won’t make any notes. My goal for today was to playing my b-game. I did it. I was even thinking about not playing today but I prefer to play until I really can’t move away from bed. Good point of being sick is that I was too tired to move away. Was just playing one long session.

This is going to be a very easy question for you, however i really have no clue: i looked at the 1on1 NL50 tables on PS today, and looked up some of the people sitting, waiting for action. To my surprise most of them had quite some tournament results (wins of >1000$). So i started wondering, are you just randomly picking an opponent from them, doing some serious bum hunting/table selection, or just waiting for someone to join your table and going from there?

I'm not saying that luck boxing a couple tourneys makes a great HU player, but i'm not sure i'd like to find out at the expense of my BR

You know it depends. Usually I wait for opponents but sometimes I join few guys. I marked few guys I want to play with and I chase after them..... Few guys who play tournaments from Polish community used to play HU to improve their skills.

Pretty funny day. At the beggining I had card dead and was running pretty bad. I was angry at ecerything, still had headache and I felt urge to crush something. I went to the gym, I was running faster than usual, was lifting more than usual, end faster than usual. The best part of it is that I forgot to take my BCAA and I was training with pure water. It seems anger work better than supplements When I came back I was high. I felt serotonin because of exercise I feel great, happy is beautiful and other shits like that I still was running pretty bad but this time I was laughing at it a bit. I think the best idea was to go to the gym. I felt bad, had headache but I told myself I don’t have time for illness and I need to work out so I went and now it’s gone. At the end of the day I was watching Gordon in action. He was really great. Even running so bad he found few place where he made advantage.
