0,25/0,5 No-Limit Hold'em (5 handed)
Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.58 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9♦, 9♣
3 folds, Hero raises to $2,00, BB calls $1,50.

Flop: ($4,00) 8♠, J♦, 8♥ (2 players)
Hero bets $2,50, BB calls $2,50.

Turn: ($9,00) 4♦ (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

River: ($9,00) 6♣ (2 players)
Hero bets $5,00, BB raises to $9,70 (All-In), Hero calls $4,70.

Final Pot: $28,40

Results follow (highlight to see):
Hero shows two pairs, nines and eights (9d 9c)
BB shows a full-house, eights full of jacks (8d Jh)

BB wins with a full-house, eights full of jacks (8d Jh)

I bet the flop since it was unlikely that he hit something, and then checked behind on turn for pot control.
Since he show aggresion on the river would check/fold be better line on the last street?

check/call river seems best here, just let him bluff at the pot (with his 4.3 AF he can easily bluff the river).

By betting yourself you wont get called by worse hands.

dbl post.

I completely agree with Diedobal, no reason at all to bet river. C/c
