BTN: $4.60 (46 bb)
SB: $15.41 (154.1 bb)
BB: $25.23 (252.3 bb)
Hero (UTG): $10.92 (109.2 bb)
MP: $10.62 (106.2 bb)
CO: $10.15 (101.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A Q
Hero raises to $0.30, 3 folds, SB raises to $1, BB folds, Hero calls $0.70

Flop: ($2.10) K 2 6 (2 players)
SB bets $1.26, Hero calls $1.26

Turn: ($4.62) 5 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($4.62) A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $1.70

preflop is standard open, SB is pretty tight over a reasonable sample but has a pretty high 3bet in general (9%) and also vs EP (14%) over 432 hands. i decided to call because he probably has a bunch of Ax bluffs and blocker 3bets.

i shouldn't call a 3bet just to hit, so i guess he will cbet a lot on this board texture and i shouldn't expect many multiple barrels unless he has Kx.

on the turn i think i have the best hand so i check back since i have SDV.

on the river i thought it would be interesting to bet pretty small to target his Ax bluffs and maybe his Kx bluffs that pot controlled from the turn. i thought i'd need to go pretty small because my range is weighted towards Ax for calling pre, and i don't think he'll bluffcatch very big but he'll probably sigh-call a small bet... should i just bomb the river?

Hi Lewis,

Preflop: looks fine but 4-bet bluff can pick up the pot often as well. But given he 3-bets a lot calling will keep all the junk in there.

Postflop: Since we don't really know if he 3-bets small pockets and then checks them down for showdown value I'd just to take the pot right now. Plus he can fold some 67 or AQ.

I think I would just bomb the river... make it look more like a bluff imo (polarized range).
