Does anyone else have problems with disconnecting while playing in tournaments on poker 770.
I get so far into a tournament and then it starts sometimes 20 to 30 seconds and sometimes i have to re start my computer as when i exit site it says client is already running.
I have tried all they have told me to do ie re in-stool download remove cookies, and i have no problems with my internet as i play on all over sites with no problems.
I think i will have to not play there as it is frustrating to keep missing hands and sitting out to come back and see my chips gone.
Hey iang123,
It's disappointing that you haven't been able to solve this issue with Poker770 support. I suggest that you hang on in there until they can solve this with you
Best regards,
Gary.
Hi Gary,
Thanks for replying but i have closed down my account as they kept saying it was my fault and i should carry on playing.
I just googled the problem i was having and it seems like i'm not the only 1 and many people are leaving for the same reason.
Thanks anyway Gary.
Ah, fair enough then.
If you are looking for a new poker room you should definitely check out the following thread:

Hi Gary,
Ill be sticking with party and tilt as they are a million times better than all the ipoker sites, their customer service is the worst ive ever had to deal with and no help whats so ever and would advise people to steer clear.
I logged on to 770 tonight and endeavoured to lose my fortune. I was partially successful, running my QQ into the other guy's AA. 60c!!! Gone!!! Just like that!!! ![]()
When I tried to repeat the process, I lost my connection and so I am sitting here watching CSI and forumizing, instead of losing my fortune, reason, etc.
System crashes are a notorious feature of not just 770, but of many other i-poker sites. Now that PS is owned by the i-poker empire, will this act as a spur to fix the problemmo, or not?
Love that, 60c gone - just like that! Very funny
This connection problem is saving you money by the sounds of things.
Does Ipoker really own PS?
Listen, 60c is sometimes all I earn the whole week! Anyway, the monster is back now. And yes, really, they own PS, I was not joking. ![]()

Ooopsie! And now it's gone again! I am soooo glad I don't do this for a living!
I play on William Hill mainly, but occasionally on 770.
I have not yet had this problem.
Could it be your ISP?
Just a thought...

PS was recently purchased by Playtech who provide and maintain the software platform for iPoker skins and a million and one online casinos.
When the problem is on one skin, it is generally the skin's issue. When it's network wide, it tends to be a Playtech issue.
I was a little concerned that the takeover may result in PS advertising iPoker rooms more aggressively but so far PS seems to be operating independently.

Hey kerantierney,
Like Lazza pointed out, PokerStrategy.com was recently taken over not by iPoker, but by the company that owns iPoker, PlayTech. You can find out all about this takeover by reading this news article: PokerStrategy.com becomes a PlayTech company
As for the disconnection issues, this could indeed be a problem with the skin, but is more likely to be an issue on your end. Maybe something is wrong with your internet connection, because like Vorpal I have never really experienced disconnection issues while playing on iPoker (I played on Poker770 as well a couple of months ago), except when my own internet connection was playing up.
Hope that helps!
Kind regards,
Tino
Played on 770 last night for the first time. Played approx 1 hour fast fold and not only was the lag tilting between table changes I must have also disconnected about 10 times.
been experiencing the same thing with poker 770es the spanish version of the site. i pretty much expect one disconnect per hour at this point...its terrible, but a good chance to improve my tilt resistance!
was playing on normal poker770 before and never had problems, but zoom was damn slow.
Just suffered another disco; it's NOT my ISP, otherwise I couldn't be writing this post.
Back at the table again, but there are 4 sitouts at my 10-man SNG who are still disco'ed.
This is a perennial i-poker thing.....
.... Just 2 sitouts now, but it's not ideal ....

This is very puzzling.
I play now at william hill, and have played on 770 prior to this.
On neither site have I ever experienced the sort of repeated disconnections described here.
I live on the W Coast of Canada, so I'm a lot further from the servers that anyone in Europe.
The only time I ever experienced a massive disconnection was on a totally different site, and the problem was actually in London. The servers were elsewhere, and it was a routing problem.
I have no idea why Poker770 would work fine for me and not for you.
If you are reasonably computer adept, you could use pingplotter to continually trace the route to the servers.
This will give you solid evidence of where and how the link is being broken.

There are definitely more disconnections with poker770 then there are with Williamm Hill. At least where I am (UK)
I have a 100K hands on Hills and have obviously experienced the odd disconnection but nothing on going. I have been with poker770 a bit over a week and have had probably 10 already but nothing major. I think on only one occassion did it take a while to reconnect or I gave up and called it a day.
I can see how it would be extremely frustrating if you were a tournie player and it kept going on the bubble. As a cash player it hasn't been a big issue. If I get four of a kind, lose connection and don't get to showdown then I will be out of here ![]()
If the free money keeps on coming then I can be easily persuaded that the disconnects are more in my head ♦
Also went through the same problem yesterday playing some mtts it on Poker770, I think this should be no problem in the server Poker770.
