WEEK THREE

Hello and welcome to week three roundup!!

This week I have a very, very ugly graph to show you but progress is progress...

Please listen to this while you read:

The reason I have chosen this piece is simply because, as you will see in a moment, occasionally we lose our minds and do fucking stupid shit. Very stupid shit. Very, very stupid fucking shit.

$75.50 Profit incl. RB // $1.02 an hour (LOLINGTON ROFLCOPTER)

Early-Week:
So there it is...The elephant in the room...that elephant that fucks me just when I think he is finally gone...and the worst part is...I just take it...

TILT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep - the first 6k hands you see is FRIDAY - JUST FRIDAY. SUPER TILT FRIDAY AS IT WILL NOW BE CALLED!! I dropped roughly 14BI in less than 24 hours and I hate myself for it. I didn't even run bad. I don't even recall thinking I was running bad (which is my usual response whenever I am losing). I remember making the right decisions and then COMPLETLEY IGNORING MYSELF!! I played shit and I guess at this stage in my life I can admit it and try and overcome it.

But I am happy to say that this will never happen again STARTING RIGHT FUCKING NOW!!

Mid-Week:
I Took a day or two off after my awful start to the week and went home to visit my family for a short spell. Was really cool to get away from it all. Got some COD in and read some old books. But when I returned home on Monday I was fucking hungry and I had refreshed the confidence banks. I set off the way I finished last week and started playing consistent as fuck. I also tried experimenting with adjusting my PFR range from different spots with varying success.

Late-Week:
Continued at a steady pace and had a couple last minute wins before the week ended. In one of the last hands of my Thursday session I actually won a +4BI pot off a huge aggro fish which was not counted in the HEM because my computer froze. As some of you may know - my HEM saves hands weird which makes it impossible to manually import new files so I have shown it below for your consideration. The guy was like 66/55/40 over 200 hands and obv. had a thing for me because he would 3bet anything I opened and hard play complete air regardless of other action.

Seat 6: noMoreLove (small blind) folded before the Flop

FINAL THOUGHTS
I guess the moral of the story is DON'T FUCKING TILT YOU MORON!! I really, really hate myself for what happened on Friday. If you discount the first 6k hands of my stupidity I would have had a really awesome week (like 30BI roughly?).

At this stage I have more than trebled my initial investment and I think with so many hands down at $5NL I am going to move up the $10NL This week. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with my friend Hashkan who is doing a similar blog but is currently smashing it and recently made the move to $10NL earlier this week.

~ Hashkan's $10k Challenge ~

Things that helped:

- Setting tilt breaks

- Sharing music with other grinders (You know who you are)

- Hunting down fish and systematically crushing their souls

That's all for this week - Good luck at the tables - Wish me luck at $10NL

oh and of course always remember to...

Just keep swimming :f_p:

Nice to see progress bro. Very fun to read ur blog aswell. Lol at ur comments.
Iv been running SICKKKKKKKKKK at NL10, I am 10BI under EV and thats not even considering all the suckouts that happend befoore ALL IN. Iv had SERIUSLY the worst downswing in my LIFE. And ofc when ur running that bad, ur play will be affected aswell (If ur name is not Nanonoko). I should be like 20BI up in NL10, but im currently down 4BI at NL10. Ofc also there is alot less fish in NL10. I jumped back to NL5 and wow, there is a big SEA of fish at NL5 zoom in pokerstars. Its sick the difference in fish between NL5 and NL10. There is 200% more fish at NL5 then at NL10. I guess from NL50 and upwards, u should be tableselecting to find the fish.

I think I have found the opposite - I have had a bad start to the week too but I think it is mostly because the play is worse!! (On full tilt anyway)

The biggest difference so far is more frequent 3 betting and steals but people can't fold and WON'T FOLD - Whether they are winning or not!!

Trying to adjust now but I could be back at $5NL soon too if this keeps up :/

Lol iv been up and down on NL5 and NL10 4 times now. Worst bad luck days in my life. Iv had suckout after suckout I cant tell u how many times. Its still going on lol. Atleast 400 dollars on suckouts alone. AKvsAQ, AAvsTT, 10 times the flush hits on river when the fish calls 2 big bets and has 10-15bb left. But its nothing strange, just variance :).

Nice recovery man. At least you managed to turn that graph in the right direction. Shark scope if full of people who can't manage this feat. Nice blog and GL

Thanks!

My real goal isn't necessarily anything to do with the bankroll - I have rolled myself in bigger games for a while but recovering from swings like that are really important if I want to become a consistently winning player.

The interesting thing is I don't think I would have continued at that level unless I was writing the blog - so time well spent apparently

Thanks for the support

Do me a favour guys, leave a little for me!

Seems like you're just eating them up there, cool stuff and very enjoyable to read given all the press about how tough the micros supposedly are.

No slacking now, y'hear!? _evil:

So yeah - just had another awful session I think I am going to have to move down again just to be safe...

Basically can't manage to get anyone to fold even weak-marginal holdings in spots where I think it is appropriate to bluff. Also got AA and KK cracked a couple times vs. weak passive idiots. I have been playing much more aggressively to try and compensate and promote bad play but the bad play is unfortunately destroying me at showdown.

Very, very demoralising but trying to stay strong :/

Wish me luck

Good luck bro.
U will definitly need a hud if u are playing more then 2 tables, especially zoom/rush. Its not hard to get Holdem Manager 2, just deposit on a pokersite via Holdemmanager.com, play maybe 1 month of NL2 and u will get HM2 and its hud for free.

+1 you need every edge you can get and online poker is tough enough with a HUD hahaha
