WEEK FOUR
Hello!! It has been four weeks since the start of my blog!!
Back by popular demand - Please listen as you read:
"I got a problem y'all - I get a little loose - Playing Texas Holdem and I hold the seven deuce"
"It's not a game of luck - but you can get unlucky - Turn a straight - and suffer when the river fucks me"
Yeh that's right - I am crying this week. I did not have what you would call a "SUCCESSFUL" week...
What?
WHAT!?
Who the fuck are you guys anyway? The Success police? Leave me the fuck alone!!
But seriously...
My move to $10NL was rough. I mean ridiculously rough. I had no idea moving up one level would prove to be so difficult!!
Here you go:

$9.28 Profit incl. RB // $.22 an hour (FML)
Early-Week:
So I had just finished writing my blog and I was super excited to be moving up - not gonna lie - I was feeling pretty baller.
So I started playing like 4 tables "Just to warm up" and I got fucking destroyed...
I can def. attribute some of the losses to tilt but it is something much bigger than that this week. I can't put my finger on it. My initial thoughts:
1.) The players are "better" (Which I don't think is necessarily the case - depending on your definition of better)
2.) The Players are more aggressive and therefore harder to exploit (This is def. true)
3.) The players are sticky as hell (I don't think in 34,641 hands anyone folded...ever...especially when I was bluffing)
Anyway...
I dropped a chunk but obv. at $10NL it hurt a little more so using my incredible resolve and bankroll skills I had to drop down again and I was demoralised as fuck.
Mid-Week:
Okay so I took a break and tried to remember what I had learned so far. I still had the beats at $10NL ringing in my ears and it felt like I hadn't learned a thing! I kept getting to showdown and I had either been outdrawn or I had been called down with A high following RR/C-R/B/B line? So I returned to my spiritual home at $5NL and I murdered some fish. One in particular who was decidedly playing the worst SSS I have ever seen managed to lose 9 100BB buyins in one session - 40BBs at a time MEGA LOLZ.
THIS HELPED:

ULTIMATE MULTI-SCREEN ACTION!!
I was playing well and I was wondering why I was struggling so much at $10NL but looking forward to getting back to the stage where I could take another shot.
late-Week:
I returned to $10NL and although I had made some good adjustments to the level I couldn't seem to get any momentum. It felt like I would win a BI lose a BI win a BI lose a BI win a BI lose a BI. ETC. ETC.
It was seriously tilting and before long I had a run of hands where I decided that for sake of my sanity and for the blog I would move down and try and get in the profit before the end of the week.
I finished strong and obv. just managed to get in the green before the end of the week.
FINAL THOUGHTS
I am at a loss - I would really appreciate any help or advice the community has for me out there. I want to move up but there is something wrong. I don't know if it is my game or the opposition or maybe it is just a mental thing?
Interesting stats:
Win-rate at $5NL : 10.35BB/100 (22K sample)
= + $134.44
Win-rate at $10NL : -12.5BB/100 (12K sample)
= - $129.85
It just feels like with more preflop aggression and less c-bet success the variance is so much higher that it's hard to attribute the skill aspect to 6-max at $10NL.
I AM NOT SAYING IT CANNOT OR WILL NOT BE BEATEN!
I just need to work harder. I guess at $5NL it is easy just to switch into auto-pilot and cruise like 6-8 tables but I will have to get passed that if I want to continue.
Any advice would be awesome guys - I am totally committed to playing this game ATM and I don't want to fall at this hurdle.
Things that helped:
- STOP LOOKING AT CURRENT SESSION!!
- NO SERIOUSLY STOP LOOKING IT JUST PUTS YOU ON TILT!!
- Range adjustment at $10NL
- Don't Spew!!
That's all for this week - Good luck at the tables - Wish me luck at $10NL
oh and of course always remember to...
Just keep swimming
