NL200 JJ vs overbet

I think you should 3bet bigger pre vs a fish. Depends how bad of a fish he is, but most fish will simply not fold to 3bets, and you miss value going this standard size.

Flop bet can be bigger as well. Stacks are still pretty deep, a good flop for the preflop aggressor, and most importantly, your hand is good enough for more value.

Turn I prefer betting again. BT's preflop cold call range is extremely pp heavy, something like 88-QQ, some 22-77 and KK+ sprinkled in. Against that range betting turn and then check folding river seems like the best line. Check/call turn kind of doesnt make sense, as I don't think he bets many bluffs, as there simply are none in his range. When you check and he bets you are mostly up against sets and 99+ which makes it close to a check/fold actually.

I don't think either of you have many Ax. You dont checkcall turn with AK much, he doesn't float flop 3way too much. Both are possible but not too likely. So the Ace is kind of blank besides the wheel coming in.

However, if he has an Ace, why wouldnt he jam for value? like you wrote yourself, you never beat that, and consider calling JJ.

I think river is a pretty clear fold due to a lack of bluffs in his range. The only hands he conceivably bluffs with on the turn after calling flop are AK and perhaps AQs. Those come in. The only other bluff hands would be 66 or 88 turned into a bluff, which you simply don't see that often. Whereas for value a bunch of sets and a few 55/AA/AK are possible.

Yeah, about him not betting Ax. I feel like it would be better for him to overbet his sets + most of his bluffs and to bet 1/2-2/3 pot with Ax. Feels like overplaying it. Might not matter since my range is capped.
