Played in the EN vs PL tourney last night and it was a massacre...I didn't realise us beating them like a red headed stepchild at Wembley caused so much fury!!

It was about 95/5 PL vs EN turnout and to make matters worse there was this slidey thing which I had to use and I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT DOES!!!

And TomSom laughed at me :(

Still, at least I lasted longer than pleno1...guess he was still giddy that Newcastle managed to get a point vs Liverpool at weekend

Aaaaaand to make matters worse I picked up Forza 4 over the weekend.. #liferuined

Got a 552BHP Audi R8 V10 though....although it's a bit too.....German

OK have I left anyone out to offend? Good!

Coaching on Wednesday at 18:00CET and Weekly LHE Show at 21:00CET on Thursdays. I've got maddy uploading the past broadcasts to Youtube too so if anyone wants to re-watch me kicking his ass in the "best hand you fold" game you'll be able to soon...just ignore the other episodes where the "Boomer Mistake Counter" is involved.

One thing I might do is re-open the Magic the Gathering Online Box soon....that could be...interesting and soul-destroying.

Tomsom is rapidly becoming one of my favourite people in the world:

[19:47:04] TomSom87: i dont understand how you can charge that for fixed, theres only one thing to think about
[19:49:03] Andrew Clayton (Boomer): Same w/ SNGs :)
[19:49:21] TomSom87: blah blah blah

http://www.pokerstrategy.com/news/content/November-Marathon:-win-a-session-review-from-a-top-coach_78142/

Check it out, you can win a session review w/ me :)

Or you can also win a public hand/session review by posting hands etc for me in the FL Coaching thread.

Initially I thought that meant all cash players would get a session w/ pleno1 and I was contemplating 16-tabling all of November just to get a review :)

Then spotted the small print :P

Gonna actually recommend a video for once and that's Schnitzelfisch's latest video coming this Sunday

Reasoning behind it is that I bascially came to a similar solution, I'm not really a morning person by any stretch but I've found that if I have something to do during the day, you know what I'm best doing???

Just Fing Do It!!

Once it's done, you can then do what you want with your day without guilt or the feeling of "I really should be doing X" which will spoil whatever you've managed to distract yourself with anyway and that's how I'm going to be structuring myself in the future

I've always put in max poker grind when I start early and especially in my new life structure, early may be the only chance I get to play so that's when I do it and everything else will follow.

Also feels good sometimes to just Get S Done!!

Working so far, I've recorded almost 20 videos for my Youtube Channel, done quite a bit of theory work, sorted out my schedule to try and work some more Magic into it and overall feel a ton better for it

Oh and madorjan started a blog today here. LHE is taking over the blog forum

The World of the HUHU SNG is an incredibly wierd one I'm not sure I'm ready for

On the plus side it does let me meet rather interesting individuals....

In the spirit of maddy here's a hand that I'll probably be going through on the Weekly LHE show so he can berate me, but then again by about 20 hands in I was playing in full exploit mode and balance had gone totally out of the window except for a couple of spots:

My dear chap....that's perfectly filthy....

Poker Stars, $6.67 Buy-in (10/20 blinds) Limit Hold'em Tournament, 2 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4 J
Hero raises, BB calls

Flop: (4 SB) 8 2 T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls

Turn: (3 BB) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls

River: (5 BB) A (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB calls

Results:

Spoiler

9 BB pot
Final Board: 8 2 T A A
BB showed 9 K and won 9 BB (4.5 BB net)
Hero showed 4 J and lost (-4.5 BB net)

Owned :(

I blame Siliciom

Easy one... :f_cry:

That being said, I assume you're barreling turn all worse hands than J high, you don't think turning J high into a bluffraise river makes you overbluffing on that one?

I would have raise any 9 high and worse, not this one :P

To be honest that raise was more based on "That bet's bullshit" than any "balance" thoughts going through my mind so I am most likely overbluffing in this spot but exploitatively I think that's ok vs most.

In the moment thought the hand's cool for a bluff becasue it has no spade and thus doesn't block a lot of the hands we want to fold although the J does block some but I don't think that can be avoided without turning to bluff-raising K-High which I'd probably rather call down although maybe it's better to turn the worst of those into bluffs rather than others becasue most other hands either have a blocking effect or I'd rather call down with

So all in all it'd probably be better to do this with like K3 no spade as stupid as that sounds, basically turning the bottom of our calling range into a bluff raise

I use this donk-to-induce move all the time vs regs. It works well, because most villains react exactly the same way you did - "That bet's bullshit", raise.
True, villain is kind of pushing it with K9.. it's best when the donk also works as kind of a blockbet (like if villain had something like 44 in this hand).

Yeah, cause everybody at $7 HUSnGs think on the same level you do.

I do agree with you that as a re-exploitation it'd work but tbh this guy wasn't even close to on that level :)

If the guy I was playing appeared solid I would definitely behave a bit more on the river. Vs this guys I'm pretty sure his range was a massive overbluff so I reacted in kind :)

I'm not made of stone!!

:f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry: :f_cry:

Actually it's my penance for being a staff member and I'm gonna ask for a FL bootcamp as well. It's gonna be me yelling at Maddy constantly.

"RAISE!!"
"I AM!!"
"MORE!!!"
"I CAN'T!!"

Let's talk about a real game again...

I don't know what your are doing wrong, because it works for me:

Rejouer la main

$0.1/$0.2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (4 handed)

Preflop: Hero is BU with J:c, 8:c.
CO folds, Hero raises, SB calls, BB folds.

Flop: (5 SB) Q:h, 7:c, A:s (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls.

Turn: (3.5 BB) 2:c (2 players)
SB bets, Hero calls.

River: (5.5 BB) 2:s (2 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, SB folds, Hero gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: 6.5 BB.
