Haven't posted on the forum in a while and also with the end of my previous coaching session I've been pretty absent the last two weeks:

This has probably been a good thing overall because I currently have a decision to make.

Last week I was informed by e-mail, similar to the way HollyMichelle was here, that I have been deemed surplus to requirements as the EN Poker School Coordinator (citing "More Commitment Needed") and as of the end of the month after nearly 4 years with PS as a coach and 18 months as the EN Poker School Coordinator I am now back just to my regular coaching role

To be honest, it's not a big shock to me that I've lost the work I've done here, although I am surprised what has gone. I'd have put my mortgage on FL coaching going first as that's been diminished vastly in recent times so I always felt it was what was going to be on the chopping block

So now what's the plan?

Well I am a fully qualified accountant so therefore secured myself a contract job pretty quickly and from there we just go into the future and with my life it's pretty hard to gauge what's going to happen 1 week from now, never mind 4-5 months :)

I'm enjoying the work I do with CaravelGaming and we'll be at the Magic: The Gathering GP in Manchester this weekend, possibly even doing a live stream so that will continue.

The only thing currently left in doubt for me is my coaching role at PokerStrategy.com. I have to admit, there's a part of me that wants to just sever ties completely, maybe even with the entirety of poker as a whole and be done with it.

But there's a much bigger part of me that still loves the game, love teaching it and wants to stay around.

However this has been a pretty hurtful experience in recent times and, outside of maybe a video introducing HU play, I think I'm going to take at least a month away from PokerStrategy.com completely and collect my thoughts. I may not be back, but then again I may be back better than ever

I'll let you know how it turns out...

Best of luck which ever road you choose. Glad you have something to fall back on. It was a pleasure working with you :)

Only just saw this - really bad news for the FL players on this site. I really hope you decide to keep on coaching here, as your material is consistently good and you put a lot of thought into your work.

Best of luck, and please do think about keeping on with the coaching. The site users appreciate you, even if the owners don't.
