88 3b pot IP

Preflop open is fine.

Preflop call is ok but borderline.

Flop float is standard.

Vs turn check I would definitely bet but I would reduce the sizing to just under half pot.

Vs x/r it's generally an easy fold with this part of our range.

Thanks for evaluations! Great to see I'm not making illogical decisions (that often :)). Interesting point in your analysis is that you suggest underbetting in 3b pots, smth I do not incorporate often. As far as I understand betting around 1\3 (right?) is good when pot-to-stack ratio is lower and opponent's range is either in c\f mode or in intention of playing for stacks, 2 samples of recently posted hands are good, have I grasped the concept?

So there are two points here I think.

Firstly yes, we bet smaller when SPR is lower. For example we cbet 1/3rd pot in 4bet pots as standard.

Secondly this particular spot (3better cbets and then checks turn), is a great spot to optimize sizing. Unless opponents is getting tricky he's generally two barreling any value hands on the turn rather than checking. This means his range is constructed in a way that he's either very weak, or he is trapping.

By betting small in these situations we protect our hand for the cheapest price but lose the least when our opponent is trapping and goes for the x/r. Finally you never know if you bet small if our opponent will be convinced into x/c turn with something like AQ simply meaning we extract additional value.

And the important point is also that betting small won't induce him that often with weak hands I think it is so at low stakes, right?

The way I see it is, yes, it might. But I don't care because I will also underbet some of the stuff that I am bet/calling simply because villain's range is very often weak. I.e I'd bet small with JJ on the turn here. So even though villain takes it down a little more often vs my weak range, he donates more money to my strong range.
