I would usually 3bet preflop since you're against a CO open raise, but folding is also an option if you've been too active restealing lately. Calling oop can get you in trouble against a tight oponent.
As played i would just call the turn and hope for a free showdown. Confronted with another 2/3 potsized bet on the river i would consider folding unless you got strong reads that he fires multiple barrels with air as there are no worse aces that would bet 3 streets.

With AJ against this opponent and without history, coldcalling is best, followed by folding. You really shouldn't 3-bet that hand, since villain's calling range will be much stronger than AJs.
As played it makes absolutely no sense to turn your hand into a bluff on the Turn. I would just continue check/calling here.
