Another short update.

Having some troubles motivating myself to put in consistent hours. Still managing ~1k days ( with a couple 600-700 days, but not because of laziness, but because of real lack of time), but they are getting more and more tough. Nothing I didn't expect, but just saying.

I've already put in most games I ever did in a single month during these 11 days of November, which is kinda sad really. Just shows that I can and that I didn't... But past is past, and I'm looking to the future.

As for the results, still pretty good. What I find odd is that I have a bigger EV ROI on 60s than on 30s ( both decent samples ). And it's not even close, the difference is triple ! I have ~1% EV ROI on the 30s over last 6k games and 3% over last ~3k 60s (same time range, since 1.6.) I did catch myself spewing at the 30s sometimes, but didn't expect it to be this bad until I saw it just now. Something to work on I guess :)

And the future looks pretty cool. I started looking for flats for my gf and me to live in once she's back. It's not going that great, because all the good flats I find in adds are already rented out before I call, but still exciting times. Should move next Monday.

Will keep you posted :f_love:

And I somehow again managed to not update in a month ...

I've been really busy tho, so I guess I can be excused :f_biggrin:

So, first thing's first. It's been a couple of weeks since I've moved in with my girlfriend and the change is amazing. We're found a great place and are enjoying ourselves.

Apart from that, RL stuff is good. Mostly not working at tennis any more, just 1-2 days per week. It's not financially justified any more, but I still love it and want to keep working for some time still... At uni things are going well, too. I've had a couple of exams and they went well.

----------------------------------------------

That's for stuff no one cares about. No to the important stuff. November has been the most successful month of my poker career in every aspect. I've put in the biggest volume ever, had most motivation and, most importantly, made most money in a month so far...

I took another shot at the 100s late November, and it didn't go too well.

However, when I did the same thing past 4 days, things went a bit better. December so far:

Also, I won 500$ in the golden SNGs promo Monday morning :f_love:

So, now the BR is solid for grinding a mix of 60s and 100s. That makes getting SN much easier. I need just below 17k vpps more, but I get like 1k over 4-5h now. I get sat by regs quite a bit on the 100s, but I'm not getting crushed, I think. Most of them are pretty good, but can be played against. Of course, running pretty great helps :f_biggrin:

That's it for now, I guess. Will try to update more regularly... Have fun boys and girls :f_love:

That is ridiculous... I'm now constantly getting sat by the same 4-5 regs, who are not that great btw. I'm pretty sure I'm at least BE against them, but I really can't afford to play only regs at the 100s and make money.

I'll save that for ~20th of December if I'm short a shitload of VPPs for SN.

For now back to the mix of 30s and 60s. And this is not due to the fact yesterday was one of the worst days so far ( -1300$, close to 1k on the 60s  ).

SN update: 16k VPPs to go. That's 20 days of 800 VPPs each. Easy game.

@Ivica: Thanks man, appreciate it :)

yeah, many regs there are not good, and some even dont deserv their place imo, id do some thing different but im not in charge, its kinda democracy, but its working this way - you are sitting people or you are getting sat.

Yeah, I guess that's the way it works there. Well, I'll work on my game more, and get back to 100s next year I guess.

Yeah, we definitely should. I'll probably come to Nis some time after new years too.

Thanks for the nice wishes, but that's one thing in poker that's not luck - volume :f_biggrin:

No time for a real update, just wanted to say that I did it. It wasn't easy (especially for a lazy procrastinator I am/was), but I got there.

Have friends coming over, and going to Brugge tomorrow for New Year's, so will update with month and year reviews and next year's plans.

Happy holidays to all of you :f_love:

Thanks guys, that means a lot :f_love: I wish you all a happy New year !

Anyway, back from Brugge ( it's a shithole in Belgium ). Had a great time with my girlfriend, really needed the break.

So, I guess it's time for the reviews now :)

First, December graph:

It started pretty great with mixing 60s and 100s and being on a nice heater. Then I learned of the 100s cartel, and decided to lower my variance by dropping them and just playing longer hours on the 30s and 60s. That obviously worked great, because I went on a pretty bad ~80BI dowswing towards the end of the month. Nice end tho, with a bad last day of ~1k below EV. But idc, got SuperNova, which was the main priority.

However, one thing bothered me more and more. As the month was nearing the finish, I was more and more focused on the money and VPPs and dropped the most important thing out of my mind, which is the quality of my game. I was checking vpps/PT4 every 10 minutes and thinking about it non-stop. Focusing on poker while playing poker will be the most important thing in 2014.

There were good sides in December, of course. I didn't lose money while playing the most poker in any month so far. I got SN, and actually I think I improved a little.

Of course RL stuff was awesome. First whole month I've been living with my gf, nice trip to end the year, and mostly living a happy life. Only thing that was missing was working out and generally not leading a very healthy lifestyle. Another thing to work on in 2014...

---------------------------

2013 graph:

Poker:

I guess I have to be happy with a $14k year before rakeback ( with another ~4k in RB I guess). However a EV ROI of ~2% can't be something I'm happy with, when the best guys on my limits get 4-5%.

I started a year with the wish to get 200-300k VPPs and move up limits to playing 100s-200s, but without any clear plan on how to make it happen. Lesson learned. First 6 months I was playing just a tiny bit, procrastinating etc.. A small downswing at the start didn't help my confidence or motivation, but those are just excuses.

The second part of the year was much better than the first. I can't believe that in June, when I didn't have classes, gf, or pretty much any other important stuff to do, I only played 700 games, while I managed 3500 in December, while moving in a new place, still working as a coach and having classes and exams. Also, I've improved my game quite a bit in July-September, and after that just pushed for Vpps, getting SN.

RL:

2013 was pretty awesome when it comes to RL. Started out boring, with a lot of negative stuff with a few of my "friends", but then 6 months ago (today actually) it turned upside down when I got together with my girlfriend. Since then it was an exciting ride, and it's looking better every day.

---------------------------

That's about it for this post. Will write a 2014 plan soon.

Gl @ 2014 with husngs

Work on your (EV) ROI if you want to avoid swings such as 80BI (more often).
