Hi guys,

this is a hand played in SnG HU, it's the second hand I play against that villain.

How would you play that river as default ?

I would check aswell. I dont see any reason not to 2 barrel here. if he bets i think folding would be in place but then again hes unknown and the blinds are so small so a call for future information wouldn't hurt

This is not a river bet for sure. Thinking about this hand again, it depends a lot on my turn value betting range.

I think that I could check something like J8, so I would propably c/c worst 8x too and if I do so, c/f that river is pretty much mandatory (all my bluffs improved with pair of better + the fake out rivered).

So the real question here is how low you should value bet that turn?

Is raising the right thing to do preflop when he limps? We probably have the best hand, but he will have position. I find it tricky to handle those spots because they are quite unusual.

I like your Turnbet although some Straightdraws got there but you won't face a raise by a Ten now but probably just by J9 QJ Q9 etc and he's still a lot of straightdraws he's going to call again and as you said you'd rather check/call 8x with lower kicker. Since you got the best kicker it makes the difference that you may well valuebet against worse 8x, his draws , against 22 33 x4 55 and those kind of hands.

Bet is fine although i think you won't lose that much against 89 by checking since he's certainly going for a bet and another bet on a blanky River and you may induce 2 bluffbets by a draw like 76 or 79 what he'd otherwise call the Turn and fold the River with. It's quite dependant how bluffy your opponent is when checked to and how light he's valuebetting for you. In a GTO sense i'd guess this hand to be a clear bet due to your kicker and c/c x4 55 66 87 98 and those type of weakish hands.
