raising flop wouldn't be a bluff imo. you can just get it in on the flop for value vs him. if you raise you can get him to 3bet flop with draws and worse overpairs. I think raising flop/getting it in with this hand. Basically I think 88 is good enough on this flop vs this particular reg to be in your value raising range.

as played, your turn call looks like Ax so if he had air he would probably just shut down. Therefore, I think his river block looks like Ax. Therefore, I shove to rep the flush because I think we win more often (with more risk though....) than taking 88 to SD. If you think his river bet could be bluffy a higher % then obv just flat river is fine.

i think vs this opponent 36bb deep, we should have wide linear 3betting range preflop.

88 is fine hand to have in calling range preflop, but it is not that fine facing so much aggresion from a reg.

reason you have a problems facing aggresive regs is that you are not being aggresive enough.
