Honestly, I think I may have shoved scared of being so deep against a good aggressive player!
My thinking was to bet slightly small on the flop and possibly induce a bluff, or a valueraise from an overpair. Either way, a shove is probably bad here (folds out all bluffs and also folds out most overpairs). But by the same token, his range has a lot of overcards, which mean scare cards (for him) will often hit turn and/or river, slowing the action. So maybe just a smaller 3bet to induce a shove is a better play?
Do I even benefit from folding out xcxc on the flop? I know immediate value is almost always preferable to the potential for more value later. But his implied odds (my reverse implied odds..?) for hitting a club if he has that hand are pretty big.
Correct me if any/all of that is complete nonsense...
