I think you should have raised this hand pre-flop, too. Just by checking this you lose so much value in the long run.

As played, I'd bet/fold flop here to get something out of their Qx/worse Kx/some GSSD.

Hi,

It depends on your overall skills and a bit about your villain - versus calling station I Isolater with stronger range and versus a fit/fold fish I raise a lot.

In general, I think you could easily isolate here with A8o+, A4s+, K9+, Q9+, 66+, JT, J9s, J8s, T9s, T8s for sure. This is my range against a station, too. Versus a nittier player we can definitely Isolate with Any Ax, Kxs, Qxs, even with hands like 65s that have some playability.

I normally go for free flop but you recommend me many times to raise. So I was wondering. But raising could bring you in some hard decisions on the flop as well wich I dont like. I am not that good yet I suppose.

When you raise you usually gain the initiative and you can cbet as a bluff on many boards and win the pot without a hit. Ofc, if you see that there is a guy who folds like 20 %, then I don't mind limping in with wider range and betting when we hit.

To play winning poker one must be tight and aggressive player. Thus playing as many hands in position and/or with initiative is preferrable.

And you will develop with time. Just take a look at our articles and keep on posting hands to evaluation and you will take steps ahead little by little :)!
